Time for liberals to get behind this bill and support it. After all they don't think they are taxed enough!!

The House on Wednesday passed Republicans' own version of the Buffett Rule, which allows wealthy Americans to voluntarily pony up to reduce the deficit.

The bill, labeled the Buffett Rule Act, passed by voice vote, meaning Democrats and Republicans agreed with it. Under the legislation, which would still need Senate approval, taxpayers could check a box on their taxes and send in a check for more than they owe to the IRS.

"If Warren Buffett and others like him truly feel they're not paying enough in taxes, they can use the Buffett Rule Act to put their money where their mouth is and voluntarily send in more to pay down the national debt, rather than changing the entire tax code to inflict more job-killing tax hikes on hard-working Americans," said Rep. Steve Scalise, the Louisiana Republican who wrote the bill.

I am sure this bill will never see the light of day in the do-nothing Harry Reid Senate...

What an excellent bill!

From JayZ and Beyonce to old Warren and hey let us not forget Soros if they want to give more now, they have the opportunity to show how much they beleive in "paying their fair share".

:eusa_clap:

I think American Liberals should go with what do you think , 75%? Sounds good. Like France.

Why stop at 75%? Government knows best. They should be forced to give every penny earned past $50,000. Why reward hard work? Besides, they don't need all that money...

I sent enough money in to the IRS this past Monday to support a third world country.

I would totally love to see Mitt's tax returns for the past 10 years but for some reason he's hiding them.

What does this have to do with the thread or the bill?

Oh, it's all about others giving their hard earned money, not yours. I see now, I finally understand.

LOL. Let us see. A very good decade for the US was the '50's. So, let's go back to that tax rate.

1. It's embarrassing how much I pay in taxes.

2. I'm not running for president.

What's Mitt's excuse?

you said you paid enough to support a third world country.. so put up or shut up

I understand the bill. Fourth-generation welfare parasite Republicans want me to send in even more so they can mooch even harder. Dog-bites-man news. Now, if a conservative rejected a subsidy, that would be man-bites-dog.

Why should I pay more just so methhead JoeBob and his skank can pop out another crotchfruit at government expense, or so Mitt can get the car elevator detailed in gold leaf? I am beset by conservative moochers from both ends of the spectrum. They're latched on to the gubmint teat so firmly that a team of Clydesdales couldn't pull them off.

Car elevators only cost about 10,000 dollars. It's a bargain.

I've really never understood the analogy though. Backyard pools run around 25K and up and millions have them.

Romney should quit acting like a "victim" and take "personal responsibility" by showing us his tax records.
