At least one thing is a for sure, the previous system is and was unsustainable. Bush had 6 years with full majority's in congress and did nothing but line the pockets of his wealthy buds even more than already. The current con's, many of which are the same, have no better alternative - if any at all.

You forget that Romneycare is a Republican plan.

We just need to get rid of The McCarran–Ferguson Act & The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. Then enforce insurance regulation & Medicare fraud prevention.

How's that? I made no mention either/or. Now that the con tie to this has been brought up, much of the original bill was made up of con endorsed components, or outright created by con's years or months prior but left alone. Yet, once obama and the left incorporated them into the bill(s), the con's suddenly disliked or hated their parts. Hypocritical, or something else?
