Since the rise of the Tea Party in the 2011 congressional elections, and the national focus on federal debt and deficits, the left has been claiming that tax cuts are a government expenditure. Let's forget for a minute that the Democrats controlled all of congress and the white house for two years and still did not revoke the Bush tax cuts or pass a budget. Forget entirely that same Democrat controlled congress and white house extended the Bush tax cuts, which saved or created millions of jobs--forget all of that. To believe that a tax cut is a government expenditure means that any money that the federal government allows you to keep is a government expenditure. All the money you make is rightfully the federal government's, and whatever they allow you to keep is a expenditure that ultimately contributes to the federal debt and deficit. I can't wait until November, personally I think we are going to see a landslide on par with the 81 election.
