Whoever was actually paying attention to the news, just before we actually went into Iraq...when Bush kept warning them that we would, there was film of a lot of trucks heading toward Syria. At that time it was speculated that they were moving WMD. Of course there's no proof, but it sure looked like it could have been! That was Bush's mistake....he kept giving Saddam a chance to do what we were asking. He let it go on too long and they had time to move it all.

And if GWB had moved more rapidly to pre empt Saddam's WMD dispersal? The Left would have had a field day. Saddam sent his entire air force to Iran in Gulf War One, preferring to send his highly expensive weapons into the hands of his arch enemy rather than see them destroyed by the United States. We have precedent, we have the motive. A coupla cans of poison gas with Iraqi markings showed up in a booby trap aimed for a foreign ambassador to Jordan in Jordan with the trail of the perpetrators leading back into Syria, so there's ample reason to suspect that is exactly what happened.
Assad may very well use them against the rebels and leave the detritus behind to be found, although the Russians may arrive at the scene first and sweep the place clean of evidence. More likely is these weapons will dissappear into the hands of those intent on carrying on Islams war with Western Civilization and Christianity which has been going on since 723AD. Wouldn't want to be planning on attending the Olympics in London this year where the London Police seem to be turning up at least one new Jihadi a day busily involved in plotting death and destruction on the events attendees.

Hmm..., Bush should have moved more rapidly? If I remember correctly there was a 'Hue and Cry' coming from the Democrats that there were no WMD in Iraq, even though Bubba Clinton cried the same 'Woe Is Me" about WMD in Iraq before he bombed Iraq for 4 days. I also remember Congress and the Senate insisting that Bush go before tthe UN to get 'permission' to invade. He did that at least twice. Then there are photos and videos of truck convoys going to Syria. What were they carrying? Was it Skittles and Iced Tea? I also remember the Left calling Colin Powell a liar for his appearance in the UN making the claim that Iraq shipped WMD to Syria.
But hey, if Obama does win this coming election, who will he blame for the mess he inherits during the new term?

But have no fear Obama is looking to strip all of America's nuclear capacity unilaterally, giving countries like China, Russia, Pakistan and eventually Iran superiority over America. If they had no nukes or a million nukes it wasn't worth ending and ruining thousands of americans and Iraqi's lives.



As we see with North Korea, we don't give a damn about countries with nukes threatening us. Iraq was a bad financial partner so they got blown up, and our politicians and bureacrats sacrificed our best americans for that miserable cause.
