After nearly a century of research, scientists in Switzerland — of course — have finally discovered why Swiss cheese has holes, and it has nothing to do with hungry mice



A century of research? You gotta be kidding me! Anyhow, it seems that, having discovered why they happen, modern sanitary methods are going to do away with them. How sad.

Now I won't stay up nights worrying just why the holes appear in Swiss Cheese.

Actually, maybe I will. Why does this happen to only Swiss cheese? The bucket is a variable in all cheeses. Why no holes in the rest of the cheese variety?
