American Renaissance News: Swine Flu: Is There a Racial Link?

Although there is no information on the ethnic mix of the fatal cases, it may be that this disease is particularly dangerous for Amerindians. The original inhabitants of the Americas crossed the land bridge from Asia before animals were domesticated, so they were never exposed to the animal-born diseases that later ravaged Europe and Asia. Aside from llamas and related species, Indians had few domesticated animals of their own and did not evolve strong immune systems. They were overwhelmed by the Old World diseases the Spaniards brought to America, and it may be that today’s Latin Americans are still more vulnerable to diseases that originated in animals.

The flu is killing so many mexicans because so many of them are already on the edge of their health as it is, between malnutrition and poverty, and they are unable to seek medical attention in a country that is both struck with extreme poverty and in a state of civil war.

The swine flu killed more in Mexico cause it's a different and stronger strain and they are not telling US the truth! Our country is letting us down by not being more careful to check those coming in from that area. They are coming in with the stronger strain and I bet this message does not make it to the board.

Ya think this is just an excersize in "Managing the herd?"

Wooooooooooooooooo....freaky!

We kept your post, but we all have to wear surgical masks to read it. :eusa_shhh:

 Or we could think of it as more like an exercise in preparedness and actually our country is not letting us down at all. Seems they're damned if they do and damned if they don't, according to some.

LaLinda, do you mean that Mexico was not telling us the truth?

What's your point, Grand Dragon? See, you ramble on about "Indians" and their lack of immunity to infectious disease, you fail to note the specific attributes of individual tribes and their ability to survive other ailments where even the most advanced technology cannot aid their alleged "superiors." Let's consider my tribe, the Tarahumara (Raramuri). Namely, consider this:

When it comes to the top 10 health risks facing American men, the Tarahumara are practically immortal: Their incidence rate is at or near zero in just about every category, including diabetes, vascular disease, and colorectal cancer. Age seems to have no effect on them, either: The Tarahumara runner who won the 1993 Leadville ultramarathon was 55 years old. Plus, their supernatural invulnerability isn't just limited to their bodies; the Tarahumara have mastered the secret of happiness as well, living as benignly as bodhisattvas in a world free of theft, murder, suicide, and cruelty.

So if this was intended as another one of your little rants, it's as ill-conceived as is typical of your commentary.

Yes, clearly a scientific source here... your tribe is the REAL master race! Congratulations! It's funny... liberals love to mock the idea of racial differences, yet they never tire of extolling the virtues of anyone non-white, elevating them to god-like status.

Of course, if your tribe indeed does have the immunities catalogued, it would logically follow that others don't -- and it would just as logically follow that genetics plays a role in disease immunity. That's the point of my post. But I guess the Tarahumara weren't blessed with the logic gene.

The pattern of the 1918 epidemic of swine flu was a mild strain in the spring, then a devestating re-occurance in the fall, with a strain that was deadly, particularly to those with the strongest immune systems. That is why the CDC is trying to get a handle on the present strain ASAP.

We are being lied by BOTH governments. It is all about PC. It's about the USA not wanting to step on Mexico's toes. It's about treating Mexico as we have always treated it - our adopted misguided, inept neighbor.
