I never said she couldn't pick anyone she'd like, including this hack, however, IMO, this would be a stupid choice that would very likely be seen as an overt slap in the face and result in an equally overt war with the Pubs that would carry beyond this for little, if any, political gain that I can see.

That's the reality. If she doesn't want to deal with that then it isn't only Trump that likes to live in their own reality.

And she can appoint anyone her little heart desires but they have to be confirmed. THAT is the way it works.
