Survey: 83% of Doctors Considered Quitting Over Obamacare

Eighty-three percent of American physicians have considered leaving the profession over President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform law – and 63 percent have called for repealing all or part of it, according to a survey by the Doctor Patient Medical Association.

The results from the non-partisan association of doctors and patients, founded last fall and headquartered in Alexandria, Va., is based on a national survey of 699 physicians, the Daily Caller reports.
The Affordable Care Act was upheld last month by the U.S. Supreme Court.

By 2020, the U.S. is expected to face a shortage of at least 90,000 doctors. Because the new healthcare law expands insurance coverage, it will increase physician demand.

Doctors clearly understand what Washington does not — that a piece of paper that says you are ‘covered’ by insurance or ‘enrolled’ in Medicare or Medicaid does not translate to actual medical care when doctors can’t afford to see patients at the lowball payments, and patients have to jump through government and insurance company bureaucratic hoops,” she said
As for Obamacare specifically, the association said: “Doctors say that a key government provision in the Affordable Care Act, the huge expansion of Medicaid enrollees, is likely to backfire, as 49 percent say they will stop accepting Medicaid payments.”

---------How quaint, a $2 trillon program designed to turn our Medical industry into a socialist program will end up delivering LESS coverage to those who need it most and far fewer doctors overall, as far as I know we had a doctor shortage BEFORE this impact of Obamacare! These Democrat's are simply AMAZING!:clap2:

"A non-partisan association of doctors and patients"? Really?

Not really:

The Doctor Patient Medical Association (DPMA) ... is a member of the National Tea Party Federation....

The DPMA is a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). DPMA Chair and Co-Founder, Kathryn Serkes, is on ALEC's Health and Human Services Task Force....
So this is a blatantly partisan survey. What's more, it's a fairly old blatantly partisan survey -- Townhall and RedState cited the results on June 14.

This is what the right does -- it's all the right does. The propaganda is generated. It's disseminated. And then maybe it's disseminated again, on a particular day, through a particular channel (Drudge is always good, and the Monday after a holiday week is good, too) -- fake news re-released as even faker news, because it isn't even new.

Old news; this belongs under healthcare. It's Bullshit from Newsmax. Any group can come up with a bullshit poll that is extremely skewed.

The survey was conducted by fax and online from April 18 to May 22, 2012. DPMAF obtained the office fax numbers of 36,000 doctors in active clinical practice, and 16,227 faxes were successfully delivered. Doctors were asked to return their completed surveys by fax, or online at a web address included in the faxed copy. Browser rules prevented doctors from filing duplicate surveys, and respondents were asked to provide personal identification for verification. The response rate was 4.3% for a total of 699 completed surveys.
