I saw this article while reading the news this morning and was surprised at the statistics it gives. FOXNews.com - AP Impact: Despite calls for more troops, data shows US-Mexico border is actually pretty safe It's interesting to read. If accurate, it paints a different picture of the border issues than normally seen. I am in no way claiming these statistics negate the problems we have along the Mexican border with illegal crossing and the danger from drug cartels, etc., but having seen various talks about how dangerous it has become at the border, this was unexpected. I'm curious what others think of the article and the statistics it gives about border violence. I'd love to have people discuss this without the usual blind partisan bickering.....then again, I'd love to win the lottery, too.
