In Rumps case, they would rule that way but it would take at least 2 years from the time it started in the court systems to do it. This is why the House is reluctant to take it to the courts. Rump is guilty as sin but he can cloud the issues for the next 2 years. in the courts. That's past the next election.

BTW, they were ready to impeach Nixon AFTER the next election. So, Rumpsters, even if Rump steals another one, it may not matter. If it goes into the next election, he still may be impeached and removed. It all depends on the next election of the House and Senate and whether the voters want to break the deadlock that there right now. Without shifting any blame, right now the Congress is Broken and needs to have a whole new crop of people in there from both parties and Indies. And we need to fire the President as well. Start fresh.

And the House can always take up Impeachment again at any time. Knowing Rump, he'll think he got away scott free and do more "Here, hold my beer" moments. While some in the Congress believe they are tied to the success of Rump, it's really the other way around. Rump needs to keep them in line and make sure they get reelected or he's toast. The last time he went out and did the Pied Piper thing, his picks all were sent packing. Don't go by the Rallyes. Those are extremely staged much like a Big Top Circus. Most go to them to experience the thrill. Sort of like going to a Truck Crushing Show in the South. One is trashing a lot of cars while the other is trashing a lot of Democrats. But it's the same concept.

The Democrat Show has yet to start. Right now, they are busy trashing each other more than anything else. Oh, there are a few shots at Rump but who can resist. In a few months, the contenders are sent home and the real one starts to campaign. Then it's going to get real interesting and all of what we have been discussing comes out in spades. Rump has spent all his wad on Biden whom will probably not be the chosen one. He may not have a lot left for the real contender. And no one still can't predict whom that contender will be. Fair point. Just as Billy the Bagman was chosen to be AG because of his expansive view of executive power so too were Gorsuch and Schlitz Kavanaugh for the SC. So even though they will have to ignore precedent (nothing new for the Roberts court) and twist themselves in constitutional knots (nothing new for the Roberts court) to support Don's overreach of power in asserting blanket privilege...........nothing is beyond the realm of possibility with these ideologues.

Maybe Schifferbrain's shoulda waited for the courts to decide on the challenges to his subpoenas. He was in too big of a hurry because this is all about the election.

Any defense arising from the paraphrase of the phone call will create a confession that the original transcript was withheld. The rest of the evidence from the Intelligence Committee hearings then just as easily becomes admissible. That will be more in line with usual police reports--based on what evidence is lawfully derived, in whatever manner. There is evidence and testimony in support of the charge of Abuse of Power, with evidence directly like in the Nixon matter: Directly the same type of evidence.

The Obstruction will be shown to support the Abuse of Power--likely with colorful allusions to the Nixon Presidency, directly compared to the Trump contentions, not being any sort of contrast.
