Oh no no no!..we can't let Trump choose another Judge again!..its an election year!..ahh..nope. Its just the midterms and you guys had your chance in the Obama Years and now it's our turn to choose a new judge! and why are the dems complaining any way..they never seem giddy to vote for anyone new for the Trump administration. Right?
As I recall, during the Obama administration the Republican controlled Senate actually denied the "chance" to choose a new judge.
As you know, that was a Presidential Election which meant, in that case, a definite change of the occupant of the Oval Office. After the mid-term election, we'll have the same President.

As I recall, during the Obama administration the Republican controlled Senate actually denied the "chance" to choose a new judge.

The Democrats and Progressives will whine, cry and moan using every excuse in the book but it will not work. President Donald Trump will get his choice of to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court.

If the Democrats take the house then yes, the Republicans will not consider the Midterms to have been an election.

True, although Kagan was nominated earlier in the year. I just oppose the sort of obstructionist delaying that the Senate did in Obama's last year and that some Democrats seem to be calling for now.

No matter how you parse it it is an election year, and you know for certain that just among the republicans over 3 dozen seats are changing hands just from those not seeking re-election. We need to wait until.afyer the midterms.

Who cares? Trump's last nominee,Niel Gorsuch, Democrats really liked. Here is who voted to confirm Neil Gorsuch, a G.W. Bush appoiintee to the Federal appeals court, and at a time they could have easily rejected him, as they were the majority.
The only reason Democrats tried to block Gorsuch was because, Republicans blocked Obama's last nominee Merrick Garland from getting an up/down vote.
Niel Gorsuch is the only nominee to my memory who stated during confirmation hearings that Roe V Wade is precedent in the constitution, meaning set in stone.
