I'm sure it's just a coincidence that 17 out of the top 25 happiest states are red including 7 out of the top 10; and 21 out of 26 of the most unhappy states (including DC) are blue.

Check out the bottom 10... all blue... Aren't California and New York in serious financial trouble?

People please wake up... The things going on in these bottom 10 states are exactly what Obama is trying to do to the country...

I finally realized the rationale behind switching colors for conservatives and republicans.

Other than the obvious propaganda value where military practice used to put US troops/territory as blue and communist as red.

The reason is to denote the True Blue believers in socialism. The buffoons who can be presented with any number of failures and still go on their merry socialist way. They appear to have more faith in socialism than the Pope has in God.

I had no idea that DC considered themselves a "State".

Then obviously we should remove the blue field from the flag.

That leaves red stripes.

Commie!!!

Well, better get rid of those too.

Then we'll have a solid white flag.

Surrender!!!!

Heck. Just get rid of it altogether.

Well I am in New Jersey, the Cyanotic state, and I am so happy I could POP!

Why? Because I don't have to worry about my finances in NJ, between the Feds, State and local, they took it all in taxation, so I just sit here and play with toys all day.

Guess I am going to have to make runs to Washington D.C. and wash dishes to pay for the rest of the "CHIT" our government is getting us into.

Well hop to it!

What dumbass conclusion. Red vs blue.

From the article:

Their results come from a comparison of two data sets of happiness levels in each state, one that relied on participants' self-reported well-being and the other an objective measure that took into account a state's weather, home prices and other factors that are known reasons to frown (or smile).

So good weather is caused by conservatism now, I guess, according to the genius OP.

its a fact if your state voted for Osama you get more than your line share of the stim pack $$$$ than those that didn't.

but next year mainstream America will take a knife and gut and disembowel the mafia DNC.

Not surprised by the comments. Obviously most of you live in the bottom states... Sorry to hear that.

Whatever you do, please don't come to Tennessee. Thank you!

You as with many others are just as sick and tired of the constant attempts to divide and subdivide the people as I am. If Repubs/ Dems/ Libs/Conservs etc. wasn't enough, some brilliant nit wit, with too much time on their hands, came up with this Red & Blue nonsense.

It's all total B.S. There is always someone ready to create another "Statistical Table of Marinated Bull Crap". They have been fairly successful so far in confusing the masses so much we are all at each others throats, while THEY run away with the 'friggen' hen house.

I thought liberals were supposed to be tolerant of other people's views.... or is it people are supposed to be tolerant of liberal views????

Glad to see the Red States happy that Republicans are now a party in exile and are no longer calling the shots

No wonder. Considering they, on the whole, get more money from the Feds than they pay in. Perhaps the blue states are sick of supporting their lazy asses.
Wrong causality.
Red states have higher enlistment rates, so the pay they get from the military is counted as "going" to their state.
The Mexico border is dominated by red states, so the war on drugs spends more there than other places.
Red state industry is more competitive than blue state (drat that socialist inefficiency) so military contracts tend to go there.
Retirees tend to head south for warmer weather, even if natives would prefer they remained in heir liberal socialist places, so again the red states have more seeming to come their way.

Wow, that must just ruin your day.
Made your brown eyes 'blue'
