A now-retracted British study that linked autism to childhood vaccines was an "elaborate fraud" that has done long-lasting damage to public health, a leading medical publication reported Wednesday.
An investigation published by the British medical journal BMJ concludes the study's author, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, misrepresented or altered the medical histories of all 12 of the patients whose cases formed the basis of the 1998 study -- and that there was "no doubt" Wakefield was responsible.

Something that most people knew back in 1998. This is a lot like the 9/11 conspiracy theory BS. Most of those people are not going to stop believing in the link simply because of this retraction.

I suspect that Asperger's sysdrome (autism by half...sorta) is mother natures way of attempting to create a superior human being...one plaugued with less emotionalism.

People with Asperger's syndrome (which appears to be a sort of functional autism) do not process data like most of us do.

They can be just as smart, just as productive, but with about half the emotionalism that most of us have.

Sadly a flaw in the formula for most people with Asperger's is that they don't seem especially interested in breeding.

And from mother nature's POV, that's not a very good feature for a new species.

The doctor who published this study falsified his research to show that vaccines were a direct cause of Autism. This led to the direct death of thousand of children in the US and UK. he has not been widely discredited and been stripped of his medical license.....

are people honestly still willing to think he speaks the truth on this matter?
