Study finds that as Americans lost their jobs...illegal aliens gained them (w/video)

Well, it seems like everyone on this board wants to destroy unions anyway. So, why have any negotiating rights? It seems everyone wants the job to go the the lowest bidder. Who can bid lower than someone who is starving?

Actually, your jobs have been sent overseas by billionaires who can't be bothered to pay American salaries, benefits, taxes, etc. Workers have too many rights and benefits and their profits are taking too big a hit.

(Pay no attention those billions and billions behind the curtain...We're flat broke!)

Meanwhile, unions USED TO earn a real American wage, but thanks to the Koch brother and corporate America, those have gone by the wayside as well. Pulling the rug from under the unions is just the first step in a grand scheme to eliminate the the working class (that's you and me).

Could it be that real culprits eliminating the middle class is not the unions, but the wealthy?!?!

Gosh! What an astounding insight!

Let's stop scapegoating the undocumented and resident alien workers. Just look at those corporations who stash their earning overseas and export American jobs. Let's choose the right fight this time.

It's not rocket science, folks!

actually jobs have gone overseas AND have been given to illegals. If you ran a business would you hire the most expensive laborers ?

Yeah... in Austin MN, a meat packing plant had an ICE raid. Over 200 illegals were arrested and deported with their families. The meat packer bemoaned that no American would take such a nastyass job.

The next day over 600 REAL Americans applied for the jobs.

There are no consequences for employers who hire illegals. No manager goes to jail if they knowingly hire illegals. No company is fined with any real teeth.

But if we want to talk about outsourcing, let's talk about WHY these companies are leaving. Cheap labor? Sure! But why is it cheaper? Because the cost of living there is so darn low, and thanks to beneficial trade agreements that leaves the US at an economic disadvantage (see NAFTA, CAFTA and the FTAA, plus most favored trade status for essentially third world nations) there is no downside. Economic globalists shove this bilk through and then stick their fingers in their ears.

Combine to that the oppressive regulation in this nation to both start, build, run and maintain a business in this nation as compared to others. The building codes alone are insane. One of the best scenes in "Back to School" is when Rodney Dangerfield starts talking to the economics professor about REAL world business and is told that kind of stuff does not apply to 'legitimate' business. Then you have the environmental regs, particularly if you are talking seriously heavy industry. Then if you plan to employ over 10 people, you have labor regulations and tax regulations and benefit regulations.

These are the real reasons companies go overseas. They don't have government meddling in every aspect of their existence 'protecting' people. These are the costs of civilization, and we've gotten to the point where we have become pretty much TOO safe. Or in lieu of that, too litigious. Don't forget legal fees and insurance costs. Those are back breakers. One lawsuit, successful or not can cost the company millions to settle, or even get the charges dropped... and that's if they win. Tort reform could solve tens of thousands of these cases before they even happen by saying 'loser pays'.

All these little things add up to a bad business environment. If we want business back, we need to get friendlier to business, close the doors to economic opportunists who are gutting this nation, and get serious about what is and isn't necessary government regulation.

No. But, nor would I try to make others work for slave wages.
See, most liberals never put themselves in charge of the company when theorizing. They want to be the entitled employee who is owed a good job and living wage. They never want to be the company owner who has to keep the employees happy so they remain good employees and don't steal him blind by poor work or outright theft. They don't concern themselves with finding ways to pay the bills and keep the doors open, all the while hoping their business makes enough to pay themselves. No, they only view corporations with stockholders who are demanding higher and higher profits.

If they by some freak occurence do manage to put themselves in the owner/operator's shoes, their heads would explode.

I had a conversation once with a liberal friend (who actually has now lived up to her ethics and moved to Costa Rica) who proved to me that when she was made the boss, she was one of the worst possible bosses because she would do all the horrible things she struggled against, and yet never once saw it as wrong when she was doing it. I'd have never wanted to work in her restaurant... before it folded. But it was all the employee's fault. But after she 'became an employee' again, her view flipped.

It was eerie. But that's what Orwellian double think will do to you.
