Sure, if you only look at the negative effects they impose on the economy and ignore the positives. The net effect is likely negative, but nowhere near as big as you think.

Actually Cali did a study of the cost of caring for them, and jailing them etc, and then added the money they do pay in taxes and still came up with a number about the same as their Budget deficit.

An Arizona friend of mine said that even before the new law that Sheriff Joe had cut it in half.

Now ideally, the FBI could massacre a bunch of drug runners, and then photograph them and the weapons, and publicize it as "Illegal Aliens fight back on the trail." Arrest a handful of illegal aliens and take pics of them as well. The drug cartel would kill every damned one of the illegals attempting to cross over after that. The motive is to use the drugs to buy a better life in America.
