wo elementary school students in Cherokee County, Georgia are charged with trying to poison their teacher. School police arrested the two sixth grade girls after an investigation found they put something in their teachers drink.

Cherokee County School Police incident report said the two sixth grade girls put something in their teachers drink twice. According to the report "Cherokee County School Administrators at Johnston Elementary were made aware of a possible incident that involved two students who had allegedly poured or sprayed a foreign substance into a beverage container of one of their teachers

According to the incident report the two girls were released to their parents. They are charged criminally with reckless conduct, a misdemeanor.

I am MORTIFIED that teachers are allowed to bring beverages into the classroom!!!

What kind of world do we live in???

True. Our administration has requested that we don't. Sets a bad example for the kids or something. Maybe they are just afraid we'll be poisoned.

There are people who would like to see the teachers abide by all the same rules as the kids including no cell phones and uniforms. That would be fine if the same penalties applied - like "free speech" and poisoning...
