The Ds must get upto 60, preferably 67 senate seats to get anything done in the next congress. That is not even remotely possible.

Trump must lose the trade war with China for the Ds to win in 2020. China is in the process of losing the trade war because of its massive debt overhang.

The Ds are likely to lose more congressional seats due to redistricting than any party in US history in 2022 even if Trump loses in 2020. The Kavanaugh hearings and especially declassification of Deep state records are likely to bite the Ds rather badly.

What the Ds need but lack are house and senate leaders with functioning brains.

You have to understand how depressed and demoralized the Dem party is after the Trump ass whooping. The GOP controls both houses of congress, the White House, the SCOTUS, they are freaking out and desperate for a win.

Then there's the Dem propaganda campaign that's been on hold since the Trump win, about how the American people have abandoned the GOP and embraced the Dem party, its a turning point, the tide has turned, the people have spoken and all that horseshit they will broadcast 24/7 if they win back the House or Senate.
