Store bans disabled veteran's service dog, veteran considering lawsuit

This doesn't sound like a service dog. Off the leash and pooping indoors?

Smells fishy.

Not a valid service dog anyway. I've heard of places that will churn out so called service dogs with hardly any training. Basically, people taking their pets in to get them "certified".

A real service dog is completely housetrained and stays on a leash.

we deal with service dogs a lot....normally they have on an orange vest....marking them as service dogs...they are always on leash...sometimes they are small dogs that alert to seizures....they normally look like a 'pet' till you see their little vests

She won't win, probably in part because it wasn't on a leash.

service dogs are leashed...due to people trying to pet them...you should never pet a service dog without permission

Well it's definitely a safety issue that needs to be taken into consideration. There's no telling what the dog could do. Considering it was going on the floor, shows it's not very well trained.
