Not rhetorically: Trudeau says all the right things, over and over. He’s got no Scott Pruitts in his cabinet: everyone who works for him says the right things. Indeed, they specialize in getting others to say them too – it was Canadian diplomats, and the country’s environment minister, Catherine McKenna, who pushed at the Paris climate talks for a tougher-than-expected goal: holding the planet’s rise in temperature to 1.5C (2.7F).


But those words are meaningless if you keep digging up more carbon and selling it to people to burn, and that’s exactly what Trudeau is doing. He’s hard at work pushing for new pipelines through Canada and the US to carry yet more oil out of Alberta’s tar sands, which is one of the greatest climate disasters on the planet.

The whole world is blighted with politicians who can't bring themselves to do anything meaningful about reducing carbon emissions. And all of them (well, most if them!) mouth intentions that will never be fulfilled.
Because, of course, we are all going to feel pain, and they don't want to be blamed for making everybody pay a lot more for their fossil fuels.
They are gutless whores, and their grandchildren (and ours!) will hate them, and us, with a vengeance for fucking up on this very critical issue.

Its a good thing he is working with US oilmen, or we would destroy Canada for their oil.

Trump has vowed to boost fossil fuel production through easing regulations. That stance, and his tough-on-trade approach could challenge Trudeau's vision for a clean-energy future.

He also talked about the boarder tax and its a no go for Canada and well no go for Mexico either, see we are interdependent on jobs from one another. Young , smart , and good looking all in one, and French I might add.

We've got to stop using oil (and, more importantly, coal), as soon as possible, if civilization is to continue.
And the tar-sand oil causes as much ecological damage as coal, almost.
Oil sands mining is licensed to use twice the amount of fresh water that the entire city of Calgary uses in a year.
