Abortion and Gay marriage, as per the issue being a federal gov't issue, are not the same thing.

The reason why Roe v Wade stays upheld, and not become a state issue, is because what are the poor girls in rural Mississippi or Alabama or any other state going to do if they want to get an abortion but can't afford to get to Connecticut? Throw themselves downstairs? Back alley abortions? Those sound great!! This is why, even when the court has been Conservative, they still haven't changed it.

Secondly, the founding fathers didn't say a "Separation of Church and State" because they were worried about the state imposing itself upon the church. It was to keep the church from imposing itself on the state. So for all of you that are for Prop 8, I love how you claim to be Constitutionalists but yet you completely break the rules set by out founding fathers. The fact that Gay's can't get married in this country is beyond bigotry, its religious persecution. Sounds like the people we ran from in England back in the 1620's.

I believe that Gay's have the right to be just as miserable as Heterosexuals
