Serious question: how the HELL are executive orders Constitutional? I can see where the would be for purely military matters (like Truman integrating the services), as the President is the C-in-C of the armed forces...but how are they Constitutional otherwise?

Just like laws passed by congress, executive orders are constitutional until SCOTUS says they aren't.

That's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. However, until the Supreme Court of the United States says executive orders are unconstitutional, they are constitutional.
