Stock markets up, unemployment is down, ya gotta admit it's gettin' better...

Gas is down from the 2008 highs and if you want to be honest, we all know that the turmoil in the middle east is having a effect.

Housing is down because the bubble burst... that had to happen.

Maybe if food prices continue to rise then Americans might not be so damn fat? That would probable help on the health care costs too. (silver lining)

Gas is down from 2008 highs......and thats supposed to make me feel better about todays prices?

And you think it's a good thing that the poor can not afford food? The price of food wont change my eating habits.....only poor peoples.

I thought I saw a food stamp thread the other day that showed that the poor get free (for them) food.

The lazy Fucks shouldnt get shit unless it's to feed there kids.

Please tell me what Obama did to actually facilitate any economic improvement... and show your work

I was really hoping you could explain why his policies didn't send us over the brink as was widely predicted... by right wing pundits and economists.

Well, it could be partly because the new Republican House isn't funding his policies.

The biggest difference in gas prices from 2 years ago and today is that the prices today aren't going to go back down. Obama doesn't want them to....

Which Obama policies have the new Republican house prevented from being funded?

Shhhhhhh....

Don't tell the rightwingers

I am just sure it was those guys that were saying that Obama's policies would put us in another 'great' depression.

Thank God I have a bucket full of old gold coins and food insurance... just in case.

I wonder if Beck still has his Y2K provisions buried in the back yard.

I believe he said he has two years worth of freeze-dried food for his family (one of his remaining sponsors), yum.

They were selling a years worth for around 6 grand.

I will freely admit it is getting better. However I bet not one of you obama loving lefties will admit that the Mere Fact that Republicans took over the house and seem poised to regain the Senate has put Business and wall street at ease, and is at least in part, responsible for the Recent upturn.

Go ahead tell me how stupid and wrong I am so I can go to bed knowing just how blatantly dishonest you people really are.

It is a little early to give a lot of credit but I think you are right about business being put at ease... Wall Street knows the Republicans are easier to buy. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Democrats in congress are necessarily better, it's just that they have to be sneakier about pro-business votes.

Is anyone really arguing that things aren't getting better?

I think the argument is that things aren't getting better fast enough.

Lets not forget sustainability...

I love the democratic process but let's face it the bulk of the voters have a memory about as long as my... pinky.

In my opinion Obama will win in 2012 if the general voter perception right before the election is that the economy is better and that is headed in the right direction.

He might win regardless if the Republicans don't find a good candidate.

I don't see any advantage to high gas prices for Obama at this point.

Have you ever noticed how good things seem to be just before they fall apart? If this "improvement" is Obama doing will it be his fault if it crashes again?

I certainly hope for the best for our county.

Political parties always take credit and cast blame... getting the independent voters and turning out the base is what wins elections.

The voters aren't going to "forget" the economy, and with all the spending of what we don't have showing no real signs of slowing, there will be no major improvement in the overall economy, let alone the real (U6) jobs numbers...

Besides, too many "ifs" in your synopsis....

Also allows us to say things like "if monkeys fly out of my butt"....

You should be telling that to the rest of the world....they don't see him the same way you do. :eusa_whistle:
Might may an interesting thread. Is the US more racist than other countries?

Who's talking about racism but you, Flopper? Obama could be green and gray....the world would think the same about him. Not a very good try on your part to bring the racism in the conversation...you need to work on that...it was just too obvious.
Pardon my political incorrectness, but unfortunately race, sex, and religion are alway a part of the politics.

No, they won't forget the economy and under who's watch it started.

After listening to Beck for the last couple of years I was scared to peak my head out of the shelter... but when I finally did, things are looking up.

I guess when you print money faster than everytime someone farts on the planet, It sooner or later looks like progress?

You're a fucking moron guy. I know when it comes to confused nutcases like yourself and rightwinger, pretending that everything is good is about as logical as pretending that your former marriages were. ~BH

Yeah, But the truth of the matter concerning Obama is that he's just plain an international Socialist madman. He could be purple, and I along with most of America would hate his fucking guts anyway and dream of the day when we don't have to be lectured by such a fraud either way. Maybe his Pastor Jeremiah Wright can step up now and give his take on it all? LMAO! We all know who the true racist are. ~BH
