Recession
Job growth negative
Worst jobs growth record since the Great Depression
Housing market cratering
Dollar at record lows
Oil and gasoline at record highs
3 Trillion dollar war in Iraq - still no WMD
Most unpopular president in polling history.

Given the choices we were in 2000 and 2004, knowing what I know now about where Bush took us, I would still vote for Bush. There simply was no option, Neither Gore nor Kerry would have done a hill of beans for us.

RGS, with his crystal biased ball predictions, please give me the lottery numbers for PA when you get a second with your biasball.

DeadCanDance, they can brag about one thing - they voted for the worst president in our history, so I guess it was not all bad for them.

Yep, sure do, considering the complete morons that were offered by YOU and your dysfunctional party.

Please don't try to avoid personal responsibility for (twice) electing one of the worst presidents in history. You had choices. And no one put a gun to your head, and forced you to check the box next to Dubya's name - twice.

Don't blame democrats for "forcing" you to pick the hapless Bush. In 2000, you had at least half a dozen republican candidates in the GOP primary. Your party overwhelmingly thought the clueless Dubya was the best choice.

In 2004, if you really though Dubya was an incompetent moron, you could have said something about running a primary challenger to Bush in the 2004 GOP primaries. I heard not ONE single republican ever say they would like to see a GOP primary challenger to bush.

You have no idea who I voted for or did not vote for in any primary retard. The only question that matters is whether or not I voted for Bush as President and whether given the exact same choice again if I would do so again. And I answered THAT question. I am NOT ashamed of my vote and I would vote the same again even knowing what I know now.

You don't like that? TO DAMN BAD.

The only thing dysfunctional about my party is its apparent inability to locate its collective genitalia and stand up to the repub bullies.

The Democrats have been hijacked by the far left loons of their party. They used to put candidates like Harry Truman but now they put up far left socialist jokes like Gore, Kerry, and now two of the most radical leftists in the whole party. Decent democrats like Liberman are usually run off. So why can't a Ben Nelson or Joe Biden win the party's nomination? Because it's dominated by moveon.org loons.

And the Republicans aren't much better. They have no identity at all anymore. Bush is the biggest spender in US history....something that used to be the sole realm of Democrat administrations. The best we can hope for is a split Washington so they can't do anything. Which is usually good news for the common folk. Washington does virtually nothing right, so getting them to nothing is usually good for the country.

"The Democrats have been hijacked by the far left loons of their party."

If that's true, then people would be fleeing the Democratic Party, wouldn't they?

Except they're not. People are joining the Democratic party in record numbers. A nearly unprecendented number of americans now call themselves democrats.

The poll showed 52 percent call themselves Democrats, up from 45 percent in an AP-Ipsos survey in mid-December. Thirty-five percent say they are Republicans, about the same as December's 37 percent.

The Republican Party brand name in ruins:

Democrats prefered on virtually every policy issue:

From Pew (2/24)

Poll Question: "Please tell me if you think the REPUBLICAN Party or the DEMOCRATIC Party could do a better job in each of the following areas. Which party could do a better job of?"

Foreign policy: Democrats +5

Immigration: Demorats + 5

Iraq: Democrats +10

Taxes: Democrats +12

Morality: Democrats +10

Economy: Democrats +19

Education: Democrats + 29

Health care: Democrats +30

Reforming government: Democrats +25

Energy: Democrats +34

Environment: Democrats +44

I'm cracking up here! Kerry? Far lolololololol Left?????????
You a Bircher or something?

Funny I thought he was responding with eyes wide opened. No 'crystal ball' at all.'

He was rated as the 3rd most liberal voter in the US Senate.

Obama is the MOST liberal voter in the US Senate...more than Waxman, more than Kennedy, more than Reid.

Hillary is the the #3 most liberal.

Al Gore, while representing Tennessee was the #5 most liberal.

No, no, you said far left, that's why I asked if you were a Bircher. Kerry is a frigging rabid tory, bloody Boston Brahmin. Clearly you've probably never engaged in political discourse with a person from the far left if you put Kerry there.

As opposed to just sitting it out so you can at least say YOU didn't contribute to the mess?

Why do Americans feel like they HAVE to vote for one of the front runners? Why not just vote for a lesser known candidate that you BELIEVE in, or just sit it out?

My personal favorite about Bush right now, is the fact that he comes on the air, and he's the only person in the friggin WORLD who still denies that we're in a recession.

It's fucking AMAZING.

The right's been so hijacked by extremists that they no longer have any sense of where middle is.

LOL, the pot calling the kettle black. Bush is not even TO THE RIGHT. You people are so far left you can not even recognize one of your own.

Do you even KNOW what the term NEO CON means?

McCain is another one that is not right of center far enough to even know he is right.

What a laugh.

I made myself plain enough, Bush needed to win given the choices. Gore or Kerry would have been far worse than anything Bush has done. I made that mistake once, not voting cause I was not happy with the choice, when Bush the first ran for reelection. We ended up with the most corrupt Administration ever, worse than Coolidge in the 20's, Worse then Grant in the 1870's ( and at least in Grant's case he wasn't corrupt, just a VERY poor judge of character.)

Carter wins hands down as THE WORST President ever.

LMAO. Republican "bullies?" You have that one backwards, m'dear. I've more backbone in a bowl of Jello than I've seen from any Republicans since the 90s. They can't even hold the Presidency and both Houses of Congress and accomplsih anything, and it was THEY that backed down every time The Democrats rattled their sabres.

What's dysfunctional about the Democrat party is the kooks that control it.

And as far as this thread is concerned, if GWB was allowed to run again against either Hillary or Obama, I'd vote for him again. But that isn't saying much. If BILL Clinton was running against any of the 3 I'd probably vote for HIM.

It's all about the choices.

How can anyone say that Gore or Kerry would have been worse than the idiot we have now? Please! The guy is a walking disaster.

Have you watched closely how the guy walks? Does he think he is wearing six shooters or something? He holds his arms out like he is a policeman. Maybe that how he keeps his balance. It is difficult to walk around with an empty shell on your shoulders.
