Steve Wynn: Obama is why businesses are scared to spend money

Obama as the reason that businesses are scared to spend any money and says it will continue that way until Obama is out of office:

And I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it and I could spend the next 3 hours giving you examples of all of us in this market place that are frightened to death about all the new regulations, our healthcare costs escalate, regulations coming from left and right. A President that seems, that keeps using that word redistribution. Well, my customers and the companies that provide the vitality for the hospitality and restaurant industry, in the United States of America, they are frightened of this administration. And it makes you slow down and not invest your money. Everybody complains about how much money is on the side in America.

You bet and until we change the tempo and the conversation from Washington, it's not going to change. And those of us who have business opportunities and the capital to do it are going to sit in fear of the President. And a lot of people don't want to say that. They'll say, God, don't be attacking Obama. Well, this is Obama's deal and it's Obama that's responsible for this fear in America.

The guy keeps making speeches about redistribution and maybe we ought to do something to businesses that don't invest, their holding too much money. We haven't heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody's afraid of the government and there's no need soft peddling it, it's the truth. It is the truth. And that's true of Democratic businessman and Republican businessman, and I am a Democratic businessman and I support Harry Reid. I support Democrats and Republicans. And I'm telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs.

I'd really like to believe that, but the last three recessionas have been dismal in producing real employment. the last president refused to help with the illegal problem, which in turn took jobs away from citizens and caused the unemployment rate to increase. Most of those affected by the illegals were self employed, farmers or construction workers that would not qualify for unemployment benefits.

China more predictable than washington.

Steve Wynn Nailed it!

Obama's Jihad on the US Economy is to blame. Obama KNOWS what's he doing and he KNOWS Why he's doing it!

Calling this guy a businessman is a bit of a misnomer.

In essence, his so called business produce's and manufacture's nothing.

Unless you consider fleecing naïve and gullible people out of their money a product. :doubt:

So a guy running a company that provides a variety of services to its customers isn't a businessman? You're nuts.

What do you know for sure about the hypocrisy quotient of a Las Vegas casino operator who uses the word "redistribution" as a pejorative? That's what casinos in Las Vegas and Wall Street do: They redistribute wealth from those engaged in productive labor to rich parasites like Steve Wynn.

Rich Steve is a "reverse Robin Hood" who has likely fattened his own bottom line by cynically exploiting federal programs designed to help poor communities like the New Market Tax Credit. In fact, fat cats like Rich Steve and "savvy businessmen" at Government Sachs have used the NMTC to funnel $10 billion taxpayer to build luxury hotels, office buildings and a car museum.

There are more people living in poverty in the US right now than at any time in the last 50 years. Foreclosure filings were up nearly 23% since 2008.

How has Rich Steve Wynn done financially speaking since 2008?

Think there was any "redistribution" involved?

Mob guys provide services to their customers.

So by your logic they would be businessman also. :cuckoo:

Thanks for proving my point.

Please provide context. Who the heck is this guy and why should I care?

Having Wikii'd the guy, I see he owns a bunch of casinos. Which means he caters to stupid folks and lives off of fraud. I would have expected this guy to be one of Obama's most sycophantic tush kissers.

Steve Wynn employees 20,000 people, which does not include the 10s of thousands more that are hired by companies he does business with learn a little economics then get back to me :eusa_eh: Wow he's Jewish too:cool: No wonder Sunni boy doesn't like him

Vegas is entertainment as much as it is gambling....

If your point had any merit, what good is Hollywood to society....
