Steelers-Bengals was the ugliest playoff game ever.

Why did the steelers have their defensive coach on the field?. That's a violation and that's why bengal pacman jones was complaining and he had a point. The idiot refs called a penalty on jones and that made no sense!!!. Steelers deserved the penalty on that which would offset the (deserved) late hit penalty called a few seconds earlier on the bengals. Bengals was robbed.

I agree the Bengals were robbed. By their own players.

Porter being on the field effected the outcome how? Pittsburgh's star player just got knocked out by the Cincinnati hit squad and you think it is more important to flag Porter for checking on Brown? Really? WTF, did it matter to Jones if Porter was on the field? You and the Bengals are making excuses. He just wanted the 15 yards back, which would have rendered the hit on Brown meaningless.

How about the 47 yard pass interference call that allowed the Bungles to go ahead? Were they then robbed? How about the 15 yard penalty called on the offensive line coach that in reality did nothing, was that robbery? How about the off sides penalty shortly after called on Pittsburgh for simply flexing his knee, who go robbed?

Porter broke the rules too. Case closed.

That looked more like a gang war than a football game. And the fans were just as bad throwing bottles onto the field and cheering as Big Ben was injured laying on the field.

Compared to european soccer, thats walk at the park.
I was expecting fans to burn down the stadium to such and end... :)

There were lots of folks on the field at the time and as I remember lots had their helmets off, violation of the rules. Porter on or off the field effected nothing.

Here is the rule that alledgedly Porter violated:

What rule did Porter violate?

Article I, section 8: Non-player personnel of a club (e.g., management personnel, coaches, trainers, equipment men) are prohibited from making unnecessary physical contact with or directing abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures at opponents, game officials, or representatives of the League. The penalty: 15 yards.

The rule is there precisely to prevent what Porter did–get all in the face of the opposition during an emotional, nasty game. Imagine what football would be like if after play stoppage coaches got into every skirmish?

As I recall Porter didn't "get all in their face." So simply being on the field is not a penalty. YOU, ME and everyone else do not know what was said and who said it. He could just as easily broken that rule by shouting from the sideline.

If this is the level of nit pick BS the Bengals are going to use they ignore a lot of other calls that went their way.

What the refs should have done was call unsportsmanlike conduct on the crowd for throwing water bottles on the field and bombarding Ben as he left on a gurney.

Yes - those deadly water bottles. Somebody could have gotten wet.

Another loony lib saying "throw out the rulebook and use common sense".

Porter didn't violate that rule as far as I saw nor the officials on the field. Too bad for you. Don't call me a liberal again and don't bad mouth the Steelers or there will be trouble.

What is confusing to you about the word sportsmanship? Oh right, you root for Cincinnati thus you don't know the definition.

If you had an integrity you would be firing whomever called a run play on the Pittsburgh 20 with 1:36 left in the game. What moron does that? A loser that's who.
