Yes. The guy has a record of violence and seeking out violence. At this point the known facts of the case seem to indicate someone that should be incarcerated for the rest of his sorry life.

NOT just a civil case; THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE for the 18th circuit is investigating. Audio analysis could take weeks. Wading through conflicting witness testimony adds to that work. Forensics, crime scene layouts, and toxicology also add to the time required.
 
Seems like a trigger happy neighborhood watch guy is trying to claim self defense against an unarmed tenager. Locals let him go. Family is bringing in the Feds with a civil rights complaint. Doesn't look good for him or the local PD.
