Staff Changes

The board cruises along pretty well on auto-pilot. Maybe it doesn't need more staff. :eusa_think:

I tend to agree.

I've seen one reported post in the past week.

There are other benefits to having staff, including giving more people a sense of ownership in the community and thus engaging in activities that would help to grow the site....but I'm not sure we need any more "traffic cops".

More to think about, that's for sure...

As someone who left the site over a moderator (for all I know s/he's long gone by now) whose only form of debate was censoring or editing my posts (instead of posting oppositional debate), I'd say I'd have to agree with dilloduck.

I mean, it's pretty sad when a guy who's looking forward to his twenty-year letter next year can't even post on a site called USmessageboards without being harassed by an extremist moderator.

I came back because I got an email that the site was under new management. If free speech and rational debate are going to be encouraged now, I look forward to being back. I'd say your best chance of that happening is keeping the mods to a minimum.
