Chancellor Merkel is a dear elderly lady who is ashamed of what her country did during World War II.

The dear lady did not realize that although the people in the Middle East are lovely people in many ways (for example, their hospitality puts many Americans to shame), they also have some ideas that are not in harmony with modern Western thought. Some of them are influenced by leaders who espouse ideas about Jewish people, women, gays, etc., that have been discarded in the West.
