Spending Outpaces Income in July; Auto Sales Pick Up
Published: Monday, 30 Aug 2010 | 8:36 AM ET Text Size By: ReutersDiggBuzz FacebookTwitter More Share
U.S. consumer spending rose at the strongest pace in four months in July, supported by a small gain in incomes and a jump in auto sales, offering hope that consumers will be able to keep contributing to a modest recovery.

The Commerce Department said on Monday spending increased 0.4 percent, the largest gain since March, after being flat in June. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected consumer spending to rise 0.3 percent.

Stock index futures, which had been flat to slightly lower, mostly held steady after the data release.

income up .2% while 9.5% are unemployed and 20% are under employed.

This is a lot like the old adage "I am losing money on each unit i sell, but i make it up in volume".

Ahh heading back to where we were. I suppose it could be called a recovery of a consumer debt driven economy.

Great Socialist China is now Number 2, and Propping Up Number One subsquent the phony, Bogus Administation. Anyone recalls that the Bogus Administration, went on vacation just in time to avoid any warnings of 9/11--Itself a legacy of Abraham Lincoln, intending Killing of U. S. Nationals on U. S. soil.

It would subsequently be learned that the best thing that could happen to New Orleans of America: Was to do FEMA work at Washington, D. C. area Department Stores. The people in the Dome would then be free.. . . .to leave.

A lesser known failurem of the Bogus Administration, was to bar the Great Socialist Baath Party from adminstrative government, post-occupation, in Iraq. Even the Saudis knew the flaw in that. "Mission Accomplished" would be become "Occupation Start!"

Government Motors is now back at work, and the Great Socialist credit market is churning once again--now that the anti-business, Party of the Bogus Adminstration(s): Is out of office. Small Business lending had come to a standstill, about 2006. Now it is revived, in just Q2 2010, alone, and there is still a bill to boost it further.

The Stimulus Funds are starting to flow, doubling in funding for the projects part, just this month. The unfunded half then happens in the next few weeks.

At last, the Great Socialist Plot is working! And there are only 237 card-carrying members at work at State, except on the days when it's tens of thousands

The Republicans have a lot of finger-pointing to keep them busy!

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Many Nations Understood, Cradle to Grave, from before the start!)

Yeah it seems to be the only plan they have. They are no better than the other side.
Perhaps the party of no is worse?
I tell ya that 11% congressional approval rating is greatly inflated.
