When speeches are given by the President, Congress or Senate, who are they addressing? They are looking out into the crowds, into the cameras but who are they addressing? If they are the ones who have the ability to change anything, who are they currying? If the people of the United States has already voiced their desires, why do they keep giving speeches imploring some kind of 'understanding' to see things their way? Who do they address while giving the speeches that has the Authority to do what they are asking? What are they expecting in return for their speech?

I already think that most Americans want peace and security. Why do they keep emphasizing peace and security and asking for peace and security when it is them who have the authority to implement safe and secure measures?
