Speaker Boehner Chooses Steakhouse Over First GOP Presidential Debate : It's All Politics : NPR

Now I don't feel so badly.

I missed the first Republican presidential debate of the election cycle because of other responsibilities.

And I apparently was in good company. CBS News' Hotsheet blog reported that Speaker John Boehner also missed the debate co-sponsored by Fox News Channel and the South Carolina Republican Party.

Am I supposed to care? Has Boehner announced he is running and I missed the memo? Why are they still using memos anyway?

Since you used NPR as a source? I wonder if YOU will comment on allegations of NPR abusing Taxpayer funds...?

NPR Caught Abusing Taxpayer Funding

NPR’s hiring of the lobbying firm comes in the wake of a public debate over whether the network should continue to receive taxpayer funds. Shortly after NPR was subjected to public humiliation due to the release of conservative Project Veritas’s sting videos, House Republicans voted to take away the network’s taxpayer funding in March. (The Senate, however, never passed a similar measure to defund NPR.)

In the Project Veritas videos, now-former NPR nonprofit foundation President Ron Schiller told people who he thought were representatives from a Muslim Brotherhood front group looking to donate $5 million to the network that NPR would be “better off” in the long term without taxpayer subsidies. He also attacked the Tea Party as racist and suggested that Jews control America’s newspapers.

NPR’s hiring of a lobbying firm to preserve its funding has riled some of the network’s critics.

Do you doubt that Boehner preferred Morton's Steak House to viewing the first GOP debate, just because my source was NPR?

Man I totally missed the whole debate because I don't have a computer/internet/phone/laptop/friends oh or a TV...

General question to anyone out there, how did the debate go, was anyone able to travel all the way out there in time?

*I* doubt your voracity as this is even a valid point in the scheme of things seeing it is EARLY...and Just because Obama has ratcheted up his Campaign (Which he NEVER LEFT even after he was immacculated), and certain Republicans chose to have a Debate at this time means what?

Precisely that Boehner had other commitments that night...and as I said initially?

*SO WHAT*?

I demonstrated your ABSURDITY thread by being ABSURD...but MY point of NPR was more pertinent than what the Speaker was doing last night...

*DEAL with it*:eusa_whistle:

Morton's is good, but they Wet age their steaks. I prefer Dry aged- it concentrates the flavor. My favorite steakhouse is Mastro's in Beverly Hills. The 24oz Porterhouse is incredible.

oh for Christ sake....

Lets see, what if Boner says “I figured I’d catch it later that night, find it somewhere on the internet because I didn’t want to add to the Co2 problem in this world… Just doing my part to go green.”
You would say “liar!”

When Obama says “We all need to do our part to stop global warming, that’s why I also believe we need a clean energy policy.” You run out and support him claiming he is the best president in America’s history… The next day Obama fly’s his giant ass Air force 1 jet and 10 car escort to get to a rally is any number of different states just to say “Vote for (enter democrats name here)” as he stumps for them… then leaves 10 min later, jet, escort and all.
