I think this is more like a early 50s recording (it bebops and check out the Zupsuits)
but this was one of me old man's favorite big bands.

Excuse the scratchie, but I chose this recording of it because I think me poppo actually has this 78. (lord knows I hope in hell he still does!)

And the following has damned little to do with big band except that it's got three of the greatest BB dummers on one stage and I thought you might like to see 'em beat some skins. Hampton's band is on stage but you bearly hear it.

FYI my mother claimed that she smoked hemp with Krupa in the late 40s or early 50s.

Think he might have been trying to get into her pants. She was a hottie..he probably did!
