In the context of particle displacement and velocity, a sound particle is an imaginary infinitesimal volume of a medium that shares the movement of the medium in response to the presence of sound at a specified point or in a specified region. Sound particles are not molecules in the physical or chemical sense; they do not have defined physical or chemical properties, or the temperature-dependent kinetic behaviour of ordinary molecules. Sound particles are, then, indefinitely small (small compared to the wavelength of sound) so that their movement truly represents the movement of the medium in their locality.

The Doppler effect (or the Doppler shift) is the change in frequency or wavelength of a wave in relation to observer who is moving relative to the wave source.[1] It is named after the Austrian physicist Christian Doppler, who described the phenomenon in 1842.

A common example of Doppler shift is the change of pitch heard when a vehicle sounding a horn approaches and recedes from an observer. Compared to the emitted frequency, the received frequency is higher during the approach, identical at the instant of passing by, and lower during the recession (source of information from top: Wikipedia).

We're curious about the behavior of particles and waves in space-time, since we're interested in perturbations and patterned motion/orbits (etc.). Einstein told us that light can behave both as a discrete particle and also as a contiguous wave. Hence, we're interested in how a sound particle, though 'seemingly invisible,' represents an 'observable object' signifying the 'dissection' of energy or matter.

When we use a megaphone, we're obviously magnifying amplitude/wavelength to increase the volume of auditory energy/vibration/resonance.

Since auditory energy/waves can be construed as packets of energy (or 'quanta'), we'd want to evaluate how sound particles can be 'collected' or 'harnessed' perhaps even for complex auditory devices or weapons.

The Doppler effect shows us the changing of auditory wave rings as the sound/energy source approaches the perceptor/receptor. We see therefore how energy itself is a dynamic 'entity' inviting us to analyze the 'transformations' or even 'mutations' in space-time. Are these transformations/mutations regular or nonlinear? The more regular/predictable they are, the more able we are to diagram (or even 'dissect') energy.

An acoustics scientist or physicist might look at computer-generated graphs/diagrams of hypothetical or 'imaginary' sound particles moving through space and being mapped onto a Cartesian plane. The Heisenberg Uncertainty principle tells us you can't map/pinpoint the position and momentum or a particle simultaneously, but if matter and light and energy can behave simultaneously as discrete particles and contiguous waves, can we at least determine how the motion of particles/waves/energy enables us to create 'diagrams/graphs' of perturbations in space-time across a large span of time?

A sound or voice-recording graph can be used by scientists, seismologists, oceanographers, or even parapsychologists! These graphs of the motion of auditory particles/waves help us look at the patterned or geometric behaviors of quanta of energy and hence the 'dynamics' of the perception of sound itself. From such evaluations, one might see why a scientist working for the U.S. army/government might want to harness such understandings to generate weapons.

Imagine a U.S. Navy submarine capable of 'shooting' packets or bubbles of high-frequency/high-energy sound-particles/quanta as transmitted 'auditory bombs.' There are already commercial uses of sound-wave/shock bombs which are even depicted in mainstream Hollywood (USA) movies like Heat, which presents a scene in which a deformation-bomb creates a glass-shattering blast-wave. The use of auditory waves/energy/particles for advanced weaponry suggests we as a civilization are interested in harnessing matter and science for the evaluation of 'turbulence-control' and hence space-time 'manipulation.' Is this all science-fiction or James Bond material? It sounds like a cool episode of Mr. Wizard, nonetheless.

Pure rubbish and technobabble. Megaphones don't change wavelength unless in the form of bandwidth distortion, and sound is merely the radiation and transfer of an energy at an audible frequency from one location to the next---- you don't "collect" it other than in the form of heat.

I agree. Sound is merely waves in air pressure. There are no particles involved. The old "if a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound" question - the answer is "only if there is an animal with ears that can interpret it as sound." otherwise, it is just undulating air.
