Sound of Settled Science: Duh Edition

NOAA finally acknowledges putting weather stations in parking lots is not the best way to accurately measure temperature.

“Here is what we found; in the best-sited stations, the diurnal temperature range in the lower 48 states has no century-scale trend, but the poorly sited stations had a reduction in DTR”

BIG NEWS – Verified by NOAA – poor weather station siting leads to artificial long term warming

Are you saying humans modify the climate in more ways than just with CO2 emissions?
No we're saying plants breathe the co2 and give off oxygen, and literal morons put weather recording devices in parking lots where exhaust emission and raised temps will skew the data.
The Left have never experienced hot asphalt.

Exactly!

Thank you sir for admitting even asphalt changes the temperature significantly.

Now, is the answer more reflective pavement or a different material or what?

Are you able to differentiate between local heat island effects and the global temperature, and how badly the global temperature is skewed when these heat islands are included as if they were nothing more than grassy meadows? Better yet are you aware of how little a global average temperarue means on a planet on which the maximum and minimum temperature on any given day spans 200 degrees or more?
The ultimate in arrogance: Using 150 years worth of data to determine climate change on a 4 billion year old planet.

I can never figure out what “settled science” is?

Does anyone have a definition of “settled science“?
Ask your Nobel Prize winner Al.
Don’t you know?
Why are you Leftists so anti science?
Because they believe in magical creation.......oh wait!

So only six percent of them aren't lying democrats. No wonder they spew so much crap.

Funny, my view is the opposite. Use your data and figure it out.

Keep in mind I own three V8 cars so I'm not taking away keys or making coal plants shut down. BUT, I'm not saying environmental regulations are killing auto sales or stifling my life.

Why not? It’s been less than 100 years since we saw that there’s such things as a black hole.

And we know the universe is around 13 billion years old. And we have been able to figure that out in just the last hundred years.

How do we know how old the universes? We measure it. We know that the stars in the galaxy‘s are speeding away from each other. Which is what will happen in an explosion with dirt particles. If you reverse time the explosion would get smaller and smaller until you can figure out where the beginning. Same thing with the universe. It’s right there in front of us. All you got to do is develop the tools to look at it.

Anti science to think things like aging the universe are final decisions. You probably think time is a constant too.

That explains why there is widespread fraud in published science papers!

Democrat Scientists who have been caught promoting bad science, such as Dr. Mann, Railroad Engineer, Pachauri, Dr. Hansen, Dr. Briffa, heck I can do this for a while, ALL Democrats too!

Here is RETRACTION Watch

That 'splains all the fraud for sure.

And never mind the fact that at present, the earth is cooler than it has been for most of the past 10,000 years.

Why not? It’s been less than 100 years since we saw that there’s such things as a black hole.

For the simple reason that if you only look at 150 years, you see only warming...we have pretty good proxy records going back 10,000 years and they show us that the present is cooler than it has been for most of those past 10,000 years...in fact the proxy temperature reconstruction that climate science itself calls the gold standard show that the present is cooler than it has been for most of the past 10,000 years.

It is nothing short of fraud to look at 100 years and claim the earth is experiencing record warmth, when we have good records that show that this simply is not true. Cherry picking on that order is scientific malfeasance...

Ita better to

HOPE the science is wrong

CHANGE doesn't occur.

Which science? I have been asking for 3 decades for a single shred of observed, measured evidence which supports the AGW hypothesis over natural variability...no such evidence has ever been produced.

For at least 2 decades I have been asking for a single piece of observed, measured evidence which establishes a coherent link between the absorption of infrared radiation by a gas and warming in the atmosphere...no such evidence has ever been produced

For about a decade, I have been asking for a single peer reviewed, published paper in which the claimed warming due to our activities has been empirically measured, quantified and blamed on so called greenhouse gasses....no such paper has ever been produced.

Now if we were talking about real science, then there should be observed, measured evidence which supports the AGW hypothesis over natural variability....there should be observed, measured evidence which establishes a coherent link between the absorption of infrared radiation by a gas and warming in the atmosphere...and you would expect that at least someone in the climate science field would have produced a paper in which the so called anthropogenic warming had been empirically measured, quantified, and blamed on so called greenhouse gasses...no such evidence exists, and no such paper has ever been published...

So again...to which science are you referring?

Now there is no doubt that the climate is changing...that's what climate does. It is true that there has been a slight warming trend for the past 150 years or so as the climate moves out of the little ice age...but if you look further back, you will see that the present day is actually cooler than it has been for most of the past 10,000 years...the period in which mankind transformed from hunter gatherer tribes to civilizations... All that change happened when it was considerably warmer than it is at present. Taking that into consideration, can you tell me what the ideal temperature is for life on planet earth? Any idea? Any actual science to support your thoughts on the ideal temperature?

There is no such thing as "settled science". The more we learn, the more we recognize how much we don't know.

The Milky Way galaxy will collide with the Andromeda galaxy in about four billion years. Are you absolutely sure that all of the galaxies are speeding away from each other?
