Sorry Republicans

The Republican Party started two unnecessary wars, drove us over an economic cliff, and let bin Laden get away.

Obama has done the opposite.
One war the one in Afghanistan was started by Al-Queda with the 9-11 attacks not the Republican party and when we went to war in Afghanistan the Democrats were right there with the Republicans in support of it along with the majority of the nation. The Iraq war is the one you can call Bush's war but don't forget when Congress voted to give him the authority for the Iraq invasion more than a few Democrats voted in favor of that among them the current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The start of the economic crisis was the Fannie and Freddie debacle and the two mean who were heading committees that were supposed to overseeing them were Democrats Dodd and Frank they were not the only ones and Republicans did there share to cause that mess but it was by no means one sided by either party.Yes Bin Laden was killed during the Obama Presidency and I give him due credit for that great moment but it does not excuse everything that has happened during his first term the most obvious being 5 trillion dollars of debt in under 4 years.

The Obama budget deficits originated during the Bush presidency...

1. Tax cuts 2001-2002 (4 trillion over 10 years)
2. Prescription drug benefits (1 trillion over 10 years)
3. Economic meltdown of 2008 ( 3 trillion and rising)
4. Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (2 trillion and winding down)

Without the super committee, the spending cuts start automatically in January of 2013.

When the Bush tax cuts expire in December of 2012, Obama won't allow them to be renewed.

Spending cuts + a return to the old tax rates = deficit reduction.

Congress has been taken out of the equation. No treasonous Tea Party/Republicans to mess things up.

Another brilliant move by Obama.

You left out the cost of Obamacare if it is not tossed out by the Supreme Court. You like taking Congress out of the equation and one man making the decision for the Nation historically has that not been known as a dictatorship?

Chrissy does prefer dictatorship.

He thinks that libs are so much smarter than the average citizens that they should make all the decisions. And like his Obamessiah, he bitterly resents the restrictions imposed on government action by the Constitution.

The average citizen is pretty smart. They voted for Obama and will again this year.

And you seem to be the one who is bitter.

Smart people can be misled and make mistakes, dopey.

The idiot in chief is one mistake the American people are not going to repeat.

So, no. I'm far from bitter you dolt.

I'm content.

It's sad how you are almost always wrong. You pinhead.

Uh what????

And how do tax breaks = deficits? They DON'T... Over spending does. They (both parties) need to scale back the government.

PERIOD.

Why do they not count the people who fell of the unemployment because their benefits stopped. Because the numbers would be MUCH MUCH higher. IF you are TOO stupid to know this I feel sorry for you.

10,000 Americans a day are retiring.

Next.

Too bad the biggest increase in jobs was in people OVER the age of 50. The truth of the matter is some people retired because they were given incentives to do so...but most older people have resigned themselves to the fact that they won't be able to retire when they had hoped.

You really do amuse me.

If Obama had wanted to let the Bush tax cuts expire then why didn't he do so back in 2009? Oh, that's right...he couldn't because the economy sucked so bad. So what's changed?

As for spending cuts? That wasn't Obama being "brilliant"...that was Obama showing a total lack of leadership. If he really were Presidential he would have called for specific spending cuts and not pussied out and passed that task along to a "Super Committee". It's him voting "Present" just like he did when he was in the Illinois Senate and a tough vote came up. You REALLY want spending cuts to be made? You better find someone else to run for President other than Barry...because Barry doesn't "do" the tough stuff. He fobs it off on someone else.

No incumbent president dating to 1956 has lost when unemployment fell over the two years leading up to his re-election contest.

And none has won when the rate rose.

Unemployment was 9.8 percent in November 2010.

Last month, eight months before Election Day, the rate was 8.2 percent.

Swing-state unemployment down, Obama's chances up - York Dispatch

Presidents are sworn in on Jan 20th, but they are stuck with budget of the previous president until almost the end of the year.

Obama added the cost of both wars and the true cost of the drugs for votes bill. Worse, the cost of health care for tens of thousands of American maimed in Iraq will also be assigned to Obama by the Republicans. More rotten legacy from that odious party.

Bush only signed three of the appropriations bills before he left office. Obama signed the rest in March 2009, as they were presented to him by a Democrat congress. Nor, was he locked into anything Bush signed, since he had a Democrat control of congress to do anything they could stomach.

Budgets and governance were the furtherest thing from the minds of the left wingnuts that took power. They were looking for political control of as much of America as they could muster, and that is what they squandered their majority on.

You, like the administration, continue to seek excuses for Obama's failures.

Any administration that would brag about 8% unemployment with 99 weeks paid unemployment benefits must be desperate. When you think about the last administration consider that democrats held the majority in both houses of congress during Bush's last two years and Fannie Mae collapsed while Barney Frank was telling us it was doing fine.

Fannie Mae was doing fine..until it had to back the loans made by the Financial industry. By the way..they are still around..unlike Lehman Brothers.

Amazing history revision. Bush left the white house with 2 active and ongoing wars, a financial industry in free fall, a major car manufacturing company on the brink of bankruptcy and unemployment numbers skyrocketing. That along with some 50000 manufacturing plants closed and interest rates at zero. Bush's conservative and radical theories on the economy failed miserably. Obama's turned most of that around.

TARP turned the economy around and TARP was W's program. Obama gave us ObamaCare and the Obama Stimulus...neither of which, I'm sorry to say did anything to help the economy grow. So what Obama policies HAVE addressed unemployment, manufacturing plants closing or zero interest rates? You've accused someone of "revision"...I'm curious to see you show the Obama policies that have actually caused growth coming out of this economic downturn.

It's funny how after the crash of 1933 our economy responded with growth rates of over 10% for three years yet after the crash of 2008 our economy has suffered through growth rates of under 3% for three years...yet progressives point to that as "progress" and a reason to reelect a President who has no economic plan and hasn't for several years now.

Oldstyle, you do realize that the economic collapse that caused the great depression of the 1930’s was of a much larger scale than the one we experienced in 2008. For instance, the unemployment rate in 1933 was 25%! Compare that to the peak unemployment of the recent recession.

Obviously, the harder an economy falls, the more significant the numbers will be when it bounces back – hence the 10% in 1933 vs the 3% in 2008.

Just wanted to point out…

Funny how they forget TARP was Bush's and not Barry's.

They also forget about the Depression of the 1920's. The recovery of which after 1 and a half years brought us the Roaring Twenties.

Barry hasn't got a clue what he's doing. He's using FDR's failed polices from the GD. They didn't work then and they sure ain't workin now.

Ah, yes...the "bounce"! Funny thing, Kevin...progressives want to credit Obama policies for a reduction in unemployment since 2008, when anyone looking at recessions with an unbiased eye can see that economic downturns are inevitably followed by economic upturns. The point I was making is that our current economic growth is appallingly bad four years after the recession started...something that as some point has to be attributed to the poor economic policies of this President. A growth rate of under 3% with no end in sight is NOT something to look forward to.

Congress threatened the Finanacial institutions to make those bad loans or else.

Get your facts straight dumbass.
