Sure the city gets the fines. (Revenue) but they pay forigners for the Equiptment.

Used to be the whole world wanted things made in America. Now, nobody does. Nobody to blame except for the greedy union workers who kept demanding more and more until companies couldn't make a profit unless they moved their operations overseas. As a result, hardly anything is made in America anymore and we have high employment.

You are absolutely right. Excessive union wages/perks combined with NAFTA guaran-damn-teed the death of American manufacturing, and along with that, American jobs.

I predicted this more than 15 years ago, and I'm no rocket scientist. This disaster for the American people was bought and paid for by both the republican and democratic parties. There are no good guys in this mess.

No, this had very little to do with it.

The situation stems from a failure to invest in education and training programs that would have allowed American companies to produce high quality, high end products to sell overseas.

Unfortunately we missed that opportunity some 30 years ago, it being too late now.
