Someone explain to me

When all ballots were recounted by hand, there were more votes for Gore than for Bush.

ONLY if it includes ballots with errors on them. Should incomplete ballots be considered votes?

In the first full study of Florida's ballots since the election ended, The Miami Herald and USA Today reported George W. Bush would have widened his 537-vote victory to a 1,665-vote margin if the recount ordered by the Florida Supreme Court would have been allowed to continue, using standards that would have allowed even faintly dimpled "undervotes" -- ballots the voter has noticeably indented but had not punched all the way through -- to be counted.

It's called 'voter intent' and which the standard for our democracy until the elections were computerized and privatized.

Not that it even matters who won- the fact of the matter is that SCOTUS assumed a victor when none was known and prevented the count. That core issue remains regardless of the outcome.

Voter intent has never been the standard, which is why you have to properly fill in the circle or punch out the chad.

Thanks for playing.

Fail. Under-counts that are created by a person both checking a name and writing the name in have been counted in the past as the voter's intent is clear.

SCOTUS didn't declare a victor, it overruled a lower court's incorrect ruling. The outcome had nothing to do with it.

Requiring that the vote finish before we declare a winner is an 'incorrect ruling'?

Tell it, brother!

Can I use that post-it trick on an ATM machine?

National security experts agree that the corner ATM is more secure that the machines that gave the presidency to Bush in Florida and Ohio when he actually lost.

Got any proof for this bullshit? This stuff belongs in the conspiracy-theory bin with the truthers and other loony theories. You still need to show how the voting machines, in full view of the poll watchers from both parties, can be tampered with, or how about declaring FL for Gore before the polls closed...etc....

Its like the truthers who never saw anyone prepping the WTC for demolition, then discount the jet-liner impacts.

Stop whining already. The way the MSM treated Obama its no wonder he won.
