The Vienna embassy’s website features a photo of a rainbow flag flying below Old Glory on a mast jutting from the building, a statement by Diplomats for Equality and a story about a professor lecturing on the visibility and growth of LGBT rights.

Insubordination is grounds for immediate dismissal in every other field of employment, it needs to be applied here.
Right...small government having the so-called President tell all his embassies what they can or cannot fly under the U.S. flag. Waiting for him to create a "trump" flag for all his cultists to bow down to.
