Some Down A Few To Go

What is the post supposed to mean? It doesn't make anymore sense than "three cheers for the working poor". Keep them working and poor? Celebrate poverty because they vote for democrats? Three cheers for the people who work their way through the system and become rich.

"These are the catch-phrases of the left. We have been in permanent crisis mode for the last 50 years (75 years if you go back to the 1930's). But the problems are never solved. The schools never seem to get better, the poor are still with us and there are actually people who are unemployed at any given time. Hint: the Left doesn't want these problems solved. If the problems are solved the raison d'etre of the left ceases to be. No more victims, no more grievance constituencies. Leftist policy must perpetuate the illusion of crisis. Otherwise why would we need them?"
The Great Leftist Con Game Part 2 -- Permanent Crisis Mode, The Overarching Strategy of the Left

You don't know what poor is. In west Tennessee in the 30's and 40's common folks drank water from a spring or well, totally untreated, crapped in a one holer located 150 ft. southeast of the house and wiped on a page from a Sears catalog or wet corn cobs, heated with one fireplace with wood which someone had to go to the woods and cut...then haul back to the house on an old mule drawn wagon with rusty wheels, lit the place with coal oil(kerosene) lamps and everything which was eaten came from a half acre garden and the hogs which were killed after the first real cold weather...usually in November.

I'm 77 years old and I know what poor is............

I beg your pardon, I lived in Western Kentucky with these very same conditions in the 60s............honey you ain't got nothin' on me. We didn't have inside plumbing until 1963, we had a double seater cause there was 8 of us and no one wanted to go alone. At least you had a fireplace, we had one little bitty propane heater in the living room that caught my sister on fire and burned her over 90% of her body. But yea, the big difference was we had a one acre garden. Needed that much to feed all of us. Oh yea the well went bad and we all ended up with hepatitis A from contaminated water. We couldn't afford hogs, we ate our raised chicken.

Doesn't the democrats and obama also do it?

Right now the Democrats and Obama are having to deal with a bunch of goddam hypocrites who have pledged to put America's interest aside and work as hard as they can to keep Obama from being re elected. It's not rocket science. Folla'

Actually, Clarabelle, I see it slightly differently...
There are those of us who, from the beginning, recognized a red-diaper baby with no executive experience, who actually believed the fairy tales he learned at his mommy's feet, not to mention his socialist grandparents...
...and we're joined by the multitudes who now recognize how wrong they were to trust this empty suit with the highest office in the land, ...

....and through our combined efforts, 'working as hard as we can,' we'll send him packin.'

"It's not rocket science..."
Right....it's patriotism.

Riiiight... and you came up with that all on your own... FOX News, Rush, Hannity, Beck and Savage had nothing to do with that "recognition". You and your Corporate Sponsored media never gave him a chance. You forced a defensive stance from the very beginning.

You're fucking morons who put your ridiculous beliefs ahead of the country.

NO the democrats are whining about a Republican farting, when the democrat is wearing a underwear full of shit.

Look...bigreb made a funny.... for the 20th time today... gettin' old dude. It was funny.... the first time.

Not really. What's funny is when people are so goddamed stupid that they go to the polls and vote for rich people and corporations when they don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out. Oh well...they've still got their bibles and their guns.

Why do either of you care who we nominate?

Niether of you have a dog in this fight so why don't you both shut up and sit down!!

Obama will tell you when it's time to stand up and speak.

Asshole... perhaps it's because we care about this country. We would like to see a reasonable person in office... not some fascist right wing zealot like those mentioned.
The majority of the Presidents were religious zealots, Steelplate. I know you're probably a busy man, but if you start with George Washington, and read just a handful of his everyday administrative details, he was careful to place the consideration he had for his fellow man as an obedient servant to his lord.

I know, you're just trying to make a point in a debate, but the founders placed religious freedoms they valued in the first Amendment, and it's worked pretty good so far.

We have people of faith who put that faith out front just like President Washington did even more fervently than they. And they're running for President. One of them even has a history of military training that began when he was in college and continued through faithful service to the Constitution of the US in the Air Force. Him I like, I don't care what church he goes to. He doesn't go to my church, but he has just as strong of beliefs as I do, and he can put people back to work if he is elected, which doesn't look likely considering how het up people got over his learning to debate on a national level right after a major surgery.

I don't know who will win, but whoever he is will have a race riot on his hands because Obama's wife is thrilled at seeing people scream and diss Republicans, and she laughs when she sees it happening to somebody else she doesn't like very much. How could she, when she sat in a pew for 20 years listening to a charlatan screaming "God damn America!" at the top of his voice over issues not a single living person can change today--slavery that ended, thank God and the Republican (formed as the anti-slavery) Party, in 1865 when General Lee signed an agreement to cease hostilities and accept the changes the North would make for the entire nation, including the very beaten South.

George Washington was a Freemason. They worship no one God and accept all religions as valid... in fact, God is not referred to as God, but the Grand Architect.

As far as the rest of your post? The exact bullshit zealotry that I was referring to in the post you quoted. If you notice, I did not use the word "religious" in my post. You are political zealots... a lot like the Jim Jones Cult, except instead of religion... it's political.

I have no doubt that you guys all have a secret pact to drink poisoned kool aid if Obama's re-elected.

Yer age is naught but an appeal to fools.

The most extreme fools are people whose age should have made them wise.

I'm wise to a right wing, bible thumping rag like this.

Exactly....Nothing wrong with Bibles taken in context. It's the zealotry that's the problem. They focus on details and ignore the meanings.

Guns? I have no problem with guns... I have a problem with the NRA scaring sportsmen and Collectors into thinking that "those damned liberals" want their guns. Keep your damned guns but if you fuck up and kill someone in anger or for profit... be prepared for the consequences.

The social values conservatives if faced with a combo of choosing between BHO and Mitt or Newt will have a difficult time. BHO and Mitt disdain them, while Newt will play to them, then ignore the social religious right.

Tuff days ahead for the moral majority.

So you think I don't deserve my social security I first paid into social security in 1950 when I was a sophomore in high school:

Began as paper boy in 1944...I was nine years old. Pay $3.60 per week

Began to mow lawns in 1946. I was eleven years old. Averaged $20 per week during summers

Continued both papers and mowing and began to buy my own clothes when I was fourteen
went in debt for my first car before I was able to legally drive it

Began working at a full service garage when I was barely sixteen

Worked 40 hrs junior and senior year HS and 60 hours during summers...$0.60 per hour

Hired at a Uranium processing plant in 1952...rotating shift...Pay $1.71 per hour

Worked five years and was drafted into the army infantry Pay...$73 per month

Returned in 1959 and continued my job as process operator pay $3.10 per hour
The company gave me seniority credit for the time I was in the army, continued in national guards

I play keyboards and piano so I was drawing checks from three places when my kids were young. My regular job, the national guards and playing when I could with small bands and combos. Discharged from guards in 1964 as a tank commander on an M-48 Medium Patton Tank

Was laid off because of seniority in February 1961 but relocated to the data processing center where they were installing a new $2.5 million main frame computer. Continued to work rotating shift work. Took a $200 a month cut...about 30%.

Worked about 18 months, learned to program in C T, SPS and Fortran 1 and made shift supervisor. With overtime about $700 a month.

In 1968 was set up to computer operations supervisor over three shifts and 40 employees. Pay...approximately $800 a month but worked straight days and no overtime

Our center had $66 million of computing and telecommunications equipment installed on 18,000 sq. ft. of floating floor. Our power bill to TVA was over half a million dollars per year and the center required over 400 tons of refrigeration. We installed Oak Ridge's first super computer...the Cray XMP 2/4. We later upgraded to a 4.

25 years later I retired after 41 years with the same company. Good pension and at age 62 began to draw social security...about $48,000 per year total. My wife has a similar career path and between the two of us and her part time job we make about $75,000 per year.

We both have a high school education but I did complete an electronics school which lasted about two and a half years in the mid 1960's.

We have a 4br brick rancher with 220ft. lake frontage. I have a dock, well pump in the lake with six well spaced outlets for irrigation. I have a pontoon boat with a 115hp Evinrude engine and we hit the lake every once in a while for a little fishing etc.

The only people I see who are trying to take my social security away from me are goddamned Republicans.

So tell me since you jumped up to the plate

What is moral protecting and unborn human child or protecting the egg of an endangered species such as the egg of a eagle?

That's easy...nobody has granted freedom to an eagle. A woman is in complete charge of her body. She can let anybody she chooses impregnate her and then she can choose whether or not to carry the pregnancy to term...it's the law.
