Mexico doesn't want them and neither does America - question: Should America grant sovereignty to the 20 million illegal immigrants living in America today? Partition part of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and call it New Mexico.

How many of you would support this?

No, they should be sent back to do it the right way.

That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard. The only way to stop illegal entry into the U.S. is to secure the border. One question though. Why only part of California and all of Texas? If it wasn't for Texas all those states you mentioned plus parts of Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, Colorado and Oklahoma would STILL belong to Mexico.

Righty right...his is the dumbest with your plan a close second. We cannot secure the border. It is just not possible. You can't do it on land and you MOST certainly can't do it on the water.

    Explain why it's not possible.

    Fences work because:

    1. They are a deterrent – crossings decreased 90% for a 1-1/2 mile-long prototype fence in California, with statistics for crossings at or near fence
    2. They slow down intruders for identification and detention – fiber optics detect all crossings, cameras confirm human versus natural activity, and tape vandalism for prosecution. A fence only needs to be bullet-proof in terms of forcing illegals to vandalize it, cheap enough to repair, with stored film-footage serving as grounds for prosecution, jail time, and reduced crossings consequently in the future. Or, it is next to perfect if slowing down every successful crossing such that detection and reporting by Cyber Minutemen is eminent, for a reduced number of crossings with more detailed information (Border Patrol usually goes by footprints often hours old) for what we anticipate will be a 75-90% detention rate, or 97.5-99% overall effectiveness of the contiguous fence
Fences can be traversed by going:

    1. Around fence
We intend to double-fence all 1952-miles of Mexican border to prevent go-arounds
    2. Under fence
Dig-unders can be prevented by keeping lowest tension/barbed-wire low with fabric, and then rebar into ground every 10 feet. Tunnels can be detected with geologic sensors, not fiber optics woven into fence
    3. Over fence
Preventing intruders who go over fence can be averted with 45-degree-angle barbed wire with extension arm (Concertina wire not allowed by Border Patrol on border). This can:
    i. Prevent climbing

ii. Make it exceedingly difficult to mount with one or two ladders

    4, Through fence
We will use metal-only fencing materials (not horizontal-only cattle fencing) to deter or slow down intruders by 5-30 minutes depending on group size
    Critical dimensions of fence include:

    1. Height
    2. Thickness
    3. Depth
    4. Cost per foot
    5. “Seeing eye” of cameras during "no moon" phase to cover entire view of length of fence
    6. Sensing options (eg. fiber optics)

Thickness and ability to resist intruders who traverse fence depends on fencing materials. Some affordable options include:

    1. Chain link fabric – 2” x 2” 11.5 gauge wire
    2. Remesh – 6” x 6” 9 gauge wire
    3. Poultry Netting – 1” x 1” 20 gauge wire - wound together to make virtual 10 gauge wire
    4. Improvised rebar fence – 3/8” diameter and one row every one-foot

Once fence is height of the tallest of 90% of Mexico’s population (about 6-feet) there is a law-of-diminishing-returns for higher fencing because:

    1. Psychologically, very few people want to mount, hurdle, or climb a fence their own height or higher, so it is at the optimum deterrence height
    2. Cost increases
    3. Labor increases, rate of construction decreases, and medical liability increases for workers/climbers
    4. Even commercially available 12-foot trapezoidal ladders cannot mount 6-7-foot-high fence because of cross-strap
    5. Intruders will most likely cut wire at bottom of fence if it is too high

There are several good reasons. One is that the human, drug, arms and money smugglers have more resources to circumvent the border fences than we are willing or able to invest to stop them. Partial deterent? Maybe... Secure the borders. Not even close. Then there is the water issue. Does the cuban refugee issue ring a bell? They can stop 10% of the boats on a good day.

Here is the solution: The USA should take over control of Mexico. 42% of Mexicans in Mexico would welcome this solution.

you are as translucent as a glass vase, Dave.. You know goddamn well what will happen to those illegals. They will eventually assimilate into second generation Americans just like Reagan allowed in 86. You see, Dave, THIS is what an actual western nation does. It doesn't throw them behind a fucking aparthied wall while Caucasians everywhere gamed birth rate demographics and immigrant rates in order to maintain absolute authority.

for real.. way to be quick about your zionism, maple syrup.
