Ah but I never said Turkey was positioning itself to conduct operations inside Iran, though they could well be. I think the positioning is more for the reason you indicate. However, it has the added advantage of disrupting (along with US forces in Iraq) and land connection between Syria and Iran as well as preventing foreign terrorists from transiting between Syria and Iran. All of that is very advantageous to US and other Western allies.GunnyL said:I will point your attention to the current immigration debacle as the result of Americans trying to take care of our National interests first. It's close to impossible anymore.
It is my opinion however, having seen the Turks mass at the border before, that ensuring there is no spillover into Turkey if military action is taken against Iran is their true motive. I just don't see Turkey as an active participant in any military action against Iran.
But, I could be wrong. It's happened once or twice.
As for the illegal alien problem and our porous borders, methinks that is more an indication of our leaders (current and former) IGNORING our national interests and subverting them to the wishes of the PC crowd and liberals.
