Socialized Medicine

the mediscare contingent continues to rely on the ignorati , who remain definitionally challenged
, and at their disposal PJ

further irony , along the lines of thinking such sorts have been coerced into, would be the many collectivist movements painted socialism, one most prevelant being labor unions

i wonder how many opposed to socialized medicine have made carears in socialized labor?

Is it socialized medicine if you earn it as part of your pay?

I don't think so.....
Just like Medicare is earned as part of one's pay. Medicare for all is the answer.

No, you pay into Medicare. It's earned if you pay into it I suppose. But ask someone who never had a job if they get medicare.... Unless they are covered by someone who did work and pay.....

your facts striaght Sarge?

ok, i'll play, explain this 'fact' to us please>

Unless they are covered by someone who did work and pay.....

What's to explain? I worked, My wife took care of our children and our home when I wasn't there. She is covered because of my work and payments into the system. I hope you already understood that.

That is because Medicare gets to shove its administrative costs off into trick accounting that private companies are prohibited from using because they are illegal.

No, it's because very large bodies have bargaining power that allows them to push for things on their terms.

Really?

Tell me, exactly how does Medicare use this mythical bargaining power to control administrative costs?

The proof is in the pudding. Medicare's administrative costs are significantly lower than private insurers.

Socialized medicine
Do you know that congress has socialized medicine? So does the postal service and armed forces and veterans hospital workers and federal workers of all kinds. The government pays for their medical aide and prescriptions at a very, very low cost to the individual. Their retirement is among the best you can get paid for by the government. The government controls the cost of doctor visits, treatment and prescription. Guess what is the biggest socialized medicine received. Medicare! Social Security!
We pay 8,000.00 per person in medical and second largest is Canada at 4,000.00. Half the cost
Then Germany, France at about 3,000.00 and 2,000.00 and they are doing just fine.

But they are socialologically flawed.

But it is better than none at all. Flawed but works. It is never going to be perfect. Nothing is if it is implimented by men.

This is coming from a military family. The care is not all that great expecially if your in a military facility.. Its not all that great. I am sure the congress is much better but this is coming from the same people who want to cut the benefits for our military while they take a pay increase. VOTE THEM ALL OUT START FRESH

We are not perfect human being, don't live in a perfect world and nothing is perfect. We do the best we can and that have to do until a perfect person comes and make this a perfect world. Everything is flawed. "Unforseen circumstances befall us all"

I read that Medicare's administrative costs is far lower than commercial for profit medical services.

That is because Medicare gets to shove its administrative costs off into trick accounting that private companies are prohibited from using because they are illegal.

No, it's because very large bodies have bargaining power that allows them to push for things on their terms.
Except when Bush's Medicare D gave up that bargaining power for drugs, as a payoff to Big Pharma.
The Veteran's Administration does bargain for those same drugs and gets them at a fraction of the cost.
