Socialist War On Society Begins in Schools

Fuck the system. Home school your kids. Teach 'em Jesus, teach 'em whatever you WANT. Make a leftist squirm.

Yeah teach them how to read and do math. They will get a better education then most kids get nowadays.

No of course not. They are very much aware of it. How can those "protesters" be unaware that their financing comes from communist groups when the groups are pretty clear that they are communist?

A quote right from the Communist Party USA (CP) Web site shows the connection between Dems and the CP:

"The CP is not affiliated with any of these formations, though we do have members who participate in all of them. We support these efforts to provide the voters of our country with real choice and with alternative politics. We also support progressive Democrats as well as the efforts of the AFL-CIO and affiliated unions to build their own political apparatus independent of the Democratic Party, and to run and elect thousands of labor union members to local and state offices. We also, wherever possible, run our own candidates.

While we work to help build the base for a major third party, we also feel that the route to success is not through making Democrats, however limited or regressive their policies, the main target of independent candidates, as Ralph Nader did in the 2000 elections.

By directing most of his criticism at Al Gore rather than at the even more reactionary George W. Bush, and claiming that there were no real differences between the Republicans and Democrats, Nader added confusion, rather than clarity."

All you two are proving is that the cp donates to democrats. EVERYONE donates to democrats, even republicans! hell, repubs were even giving money to ralpho.

All you are proving is that you are incapable of seeing reality. CP donates to the Democratic party because they are the party closest to their own philosophies. If the Democratic Party would like to distance themsleves form the CP, they can always refuse the donations. But they don't.

Not often that I echo WJ. However, I teach in a parochial school. We teach "Jesus", "love", "golden rule" on top of the 'basics.' I teach jr high, current count of 6-8th=53 kids. We have 78 working online laptops. Each of the 3 classrooms have 2004 encyclopedias. Our library at school suks for the jr high, though good for under 5th. The city library is excellent and the kids have access to college library through county.

Home school your kids, if possible. At MY school the 7th grade includes 5 BD students, 2 sociopaths. I'm NOT joking. Luckily for me, one of the 2 sociopaths parents recognizes a problem, is pulling the kid and sending to a military academy. I hope it helps, though I think the problem is deeper than discipline. I may be wrong and sincerely hope so.

Some friends of mine decided to home school their kids a couple of years ago. It wasn't because of any political or ideological beliefs, but for circumstances I won't get into. They all loved it.

They decided to let the kids go back to regular public school once they were at about the age for 7th grade, hoping to balance education with social interaction. They would still do some stuff at home as well. Two have gone back, and they had to take a test to see what grade they would actually be in. Both were more advanced than students their same age, and could have gone on to 8th grade if they wanted to.

The youngest still has four years before he goes back to public school, and it's clear the advancement he has made beyond people his age. Much better than he would get at the public schools here. Believe me, they suck, I went through them. I learned more on this board.

Its not because the Democratic party is similar to communism.
its because the REPUBLICAN party is SO FAR AWAY from the mainstream.

BTW, who even cares!
I don't believe in democratic party ideals, YOU DON'T!
Didnt even know they had ideals.

Communism is the complete unification of industry and the public/government.
Socialism is the TRANSITION TIME between the current and complete communist government.

I don't believe relieving the burdon on the poor is socialism.
Nor do i believe the publics' will, creating their own institutions, for the good of people, should be considered socialism.

Ya public schools are in bad shape, certain private schools and homeschooling are great!
I don't believe private schools are the answer though, not the answer to the general education of the masses.

Why not? Private schools would offere competitive rates compared to the ridiculous property taxes that are charged now to send a kid to school. Competition would create a market for good schools at low tuition prices. Schools would work to make sure their school was the best in order to get the tuition costs. Like a business. A better education would be had by all.

Pluss it leads to another problem where at a certain point, some kids shouldnt be in school anymore. If a student hasnt learned anything by the age of 13-14, then they are not going to get it after that. Send them to a technical school and have them focus on skilled jobs such as carpenter, secretary or plumber. Make them into productive members of society instead of continuing to drain money from it for their present schooling and their future welfare.

I've posted on this topic before though not quite looking at it from this angle. First of all, asking that Christians not attempt to use the power of government to force their religious beliefs on non-Christians is not Communism. Calling it Socialism or Communism is cop-out from people who don't really know what Socialism and Communism are. England has a Socialist system, they also have a strong Church. Socialism does not require elimination of religion. Communism, as practiced in the Soviet Union and in China did require elimination of religion. It is correct that Marx was anti-religion. Many of us who oppose having "Under God" in the pledge of allegience are also religious. In fact, the man who wrote the original pledge was a Baptist minister, his daughter stated firmly that he would have been adamantly opposed to adding "Under God" to the pledge because it was both unconstutional and sacriligious. These are the same reasons Theodore Roosevelt, a devoutly religious man, had for wanting to remove "In God We Trust" from money.

I oppose the far right's attempt to use the power of government to force their religous views and opinions on the rest of society. I am a religious person.

where is it stated that this is a christian God and where does it say that you will be punished for not worshiping said god? I dont recall any student ever going to jail for NOT saying the pledge.

Until you give up your pathetic "Under God"=Taliban meme, you hold no credibility at all. Saying Under God is not forcibily converting people, and you know it. But since it serves your purposes you decieve and distort. Classic.

Pretty funny. When you are proved wrong and have no argument, you resort to "Who cares".
