Nope. Two completely different organizations.

In actuality, the Socialist Party of America went extinct in 1972.

If you read the fictional interview, they also make reference to the DSA. The DSA is the Democratic Socialists of America, which formed in 1982.

The DSA and Socialist Party USA are two different bodies altogether. And both are separate from the Socialist Party of America.

So the hoaxsters are poking fun at people who think they are all the same thing. People like you.

And then there is the fact there is no Socialist Caucus in Congress.

The final proof it is a hoax is when you look at the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which DOES exist. That is where the hoaxsters got the list of 70 people. They were making a joke. "Progressive" = "Socialist". Right? Isn't that what neo-cons believe?
