Socialism equals less freedom. How?

Ahhh.. more blather from the far lefties who believe that freedom inherently means the freedom FROM responsibility... albeit at the expense of someone else who does take care of their personal responsibilities and makes good decisions in their life that leads to them having more earned comforts

In another thread the statement was made that Socialism makes us less free. Canada, England, and Europe are all countries and regions much more socialized then we are yet all provide equal or greater quality of life, longer life, and equal or more civil liberties. So exactly how has socialization in those countries made them less free than ourselves?

And if you could I would like the explanation in the form of a logical argument-that is, your predicate should be supported by premises and conclusion congruent to all premises and predicate. "I'm a dumb fuck, go to Canada dick-wad, etc" are fallacies and only shows your ignorance. Many of you have already established that so now I am giving you the opportunity to show some intelligence. How exactly are we more free while others with comparable or better quality of lives and liberty aren't?

Your a fucking idiot...STFU

well if its an equal trade off then no one needs it

And this is where the discussions about what we mean by "freedom" are important. If we - any of us - have differing views on what "freedom" means then we're essentially going to have that well-known dialogue of the deaf. It's simply not sufficient to claim that "capitalism means more freedom than socialism" just as it it's insufficient to claim it the other way around. Then we - all of us - can start to discuss what sort of society is most desirable.

Seems like something you plagiarized from Winston Smith. Capitalism means more freedom than Socialism. Individual will as opposed to asking consent. Give it a break, put down the Kool-Aid. How about trying some original Thought.

Not plagiarised at all and Winston Smith was a fictional character.

"Capitalism means more freedom than socialism". Okay, that's a sentence, it has words, but that's all it is, it proves nothing.

"Individual will as opposed to asking consent." Nothing proven, just a statement completely devoid of context and therefore meaning.

How about trying some thought?

I think that Winston Smith is not fiction, I think that you are Winston Smith. So, you having Self Determination, makes You Less Free, than You living to My Expectations?

Individual Liberty of Self Determination V.S. Needing permission, from a Self Serving, Arbitrary Source, which may just as easily refuse as allow, which may just as easily take away from you the privilege that the Free Man has a Right to. The offense here is not you surrendering you own self determination, the offense, is your part in stealing it from others.
