Have you thought of all the bureacracy and inefficiency a program like this gives. You need to hire people to order, ta make the food etc. It is always cheaper, faster and better to do it yourself and it gives more responsible and healthier kids.

Reminded me of going to school on the south side of Chicago during the Great Depression. Most of us were pretty hungry and there was no free government lunches. Lunch time was usually pretty bleak and while we didn't have free lunches we did have "cobs". If you saw somebody with food you could run up and yell cobs, and the food holder then, by playground law, had to give you a bite. But if the food- holder saw you coming he could yell "no bites, no nothings." and he didn't have to share. The country has come a long way from cobs during the depression to free lunches today.

What you believe becomes true for you. If you believe you can't resist such meals, then you won't be able to resist them. But ... if you tell yourself, and believe that you can resist such meals, then you'll be able to. It's really that simple. It's just a matter of whether your willing to do that or not.

Only the far left parties advocates "government lunch" for the kids. The debate have been up and the conclusion have always been that a government program like this will cost to much and be to innefficient.

The generous entitlements are basically through free college and free healthcare, otherwise I wouldn’t say the entitlment system is more generous than in the USA. These entitlements costs the government a lot(healthcare and education), but it gives much more back.

A helathy and well educated workforce is what we get.
