So, what have the Occutards accomplished so far?

There is no doubt where their leadership stands on the issue even if the rank and file is more interested in rape and pissing in the street. A spokesman for OWS actually stated that the reason the mob decided to shut down West Coast Ports for a day was because they are "centers for commerce". Commerce and the freedom we enjoy under capitalism is the enemy to those people who are still able to hold a thought in their heads. When you factor in Obama's reference to the US Chamber of Commerce being a "sinister tool of the Republican party" you get a peek into the agenda of the B. Hussein administration's vision of the future of America.

If your protest is not costly and inconvenient to those you you are protesting against then you are doing it wrong.

Here to. They tried to shut down the port but failed at every turn.

Succeeded in Oakland, Long Beach, San Diego, Portland, Vancouver -- not sure about Seattle. Is that where you are?

Regardless, the movement will continue until one of two things happens, reform or revolution. Probably reform; that's the way it's always gone down before when big business and its bought-and-paid-for government was confronted by popular unrest. It will take new forms (already is, please note) but will not die. Those of you who think it's over are dreaming.

And you'll probably be saying the same thing a year from now, which pretty much proves my point.

For a fact, they did not succeed in Long Beach. No fact or truth will get in the way of a lib lie.

San DIego lasted even less time than Long Beach.

I mean other than vandalism, racism, rape, spreading disease, public urination and defecation, and costing cities, taxpayers, and companies money?

They blocked ports yesterday. For what?

Got your attention, didn't they?

If nothing else they have exposed the ugly fascistic undercurrent of conservative politics for all to see. Anyone who will take the side of the big banks over regular Americans deserves political obscurity. The TP is done, they just don't know it yet.

And the OWS people shutting down ports doesn't hurt the very people they claim make them up? the 99%?

I think the port workers trying to feed their families might beg to differ.

The OWS protests are certainly costly and inconvenient... to the 99% they claim to be made up of.

Costly to the taxpayers, inconvenient to blue-collar workers trying to get to their jobs ... yep, you're pretty much against everyone but yourselves.

Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Let's list the successes of the occupy movement.

Shut down the stock exchange
No

Shut down Wall Street
No

Shut down the ports.
No.

Interfere with black friday shopping
No

Close the banks by having a run on bank transfer day
No

They have not changed the national conversation about economic inequality. They chatter on about it among themselves and imagine that someone is listening.

Yes they got attention. The same kind of attention a two year old in full tantrum gets at the mall.

Unfortunately, instead of ignoring them like you should with a toddler, the media follows them 24/7.

I guarantee without that, the OWS campers would have gone back to their parents' house after the first week.

They've started a political discussion on income inequality and reminded the Democrats who they supposed to be representing. That's almost a miracle.

By the way, y'all ready to concede now that the reports of the movement's death were greatly exaggerated? ;)

No, because they are irrelevant. Nobody really cares anymore. Oh, they are well organized and possibly even financed and might continue to show from time to time, but the average american has lost interest.

:cuckoo: And exactly how did they do that?

You really think that just because you say it, makes it so?:cuckoo:

Defending big banks against criticism and protests is not a popular position to have, it shows them to be the lobbyist tools they are, and the TP is not going to realize that until it is much, much too late. Couple that with the GOP increasingly pushing them back to the fringes where they found them and a lot of people are just going find themselves outside the GOP tent.

What planet do you live on?

The GOP is very critical of banks, when it's logically warranted. Most in the GOP were against TARP and we have never bought into the Democrat Party's "Too big to fail" mantra. And the Tea Party isn't about banks and corporations, no matter how badly you left wing looney's want to try to tie us to them. The Tea Party is about fiscal reponsibility, the Constitution, and smaller government. Not about banks and corporations.

We're cleaning the last vestiges of them out down here... it was good theater while it lasted though.

LOL "last vestiges" . . .

Gotta love it. You'll be saying the same thing the day of the revolution, I think.

Here in Orlando, there was a news report about OPD clearing out the trash and crap that the occtards left and refused to clean up. All 10 of them were upset about it.

It's dead and all but buried.

for pizza, one of the out of work unions sent them pizza as a thank ewe! :eusa_clap:

Widyo Willo, we have changed the conversation to why the rich are gaining while the people actually doing the work that society runs on are losing.

No, you didn't. That conversation has been going on for decades. It's a discussion on socialism. Old stuff, you didn't start anything.

It is time that we removed the wealth of the parasites and rewarded the people that actually contribute to the wealth of our nation.

The paracites are the entitlement morons who make up a great deal of the OWS movement. They suck at the tit of government and give nothing back. The people that contribute to the wealth of the nation are all of the people who work. The rich, the middle class, and the working poor.

And those people are not just the 1%. In fact, a majority of the 1% are negative contributors to the wealth of the nation.

Bull shit. Prove it.

They've accomplished to confirm a stereotype...

A bunch of socialists shitting in the streets and overdosing on hard drugs..

The only sane ones are the libertarians and they "occupy" (no pun of course) about 10% of OWS.. The rest are lunatics that loathe the rich because the rich have what they don't and that's "no fair."

The funny part is that most don't pay taxes yet believe they can just occupy public property.... Who pays for that shit?? oh yeah - those who get up and go to work everyday and PAY TAXES..

Then they claim they have jobs?? really?? I don't believe any employer would tolerate an employee just taking off to protest capitalism for about 4 months now.... How the fuck does one hold a full-time job and a full-time protesting job at the same time???

Yeah their job is holding up signs for Michael Moore and George Soros for 300 bucks a week..

"Down here" = New Orleans... there's a few left, but the stay will expire at 22:30 today.

Its over... at least down here.

Revolution my ass.....

Here to. They tried to shut down the port but failed at every turn. OWS is not much more then comedy fodder for late night comedy shows now, and even they are bored with them. They have not accomplished anything really. Hell, its all they can do to get mentioned on the news anymore. Poor little guys.

This^^

Nah, it will fade away into obscurity, and deservedly so.

Yeah, kind of like me watching "World's Dumbest" on TV to see what idiots those people are, they get my attention too.

The funnything is that they actually think that they did any damage to anyone at all.
