This is what I and others were commenting yesterday, this is why we're against people having to wear a badge, we know what'll happen to those who choose not to "homophobe", "bigot" probably they'll even lose their jobs.

I'm old fashioned, I know, but we were trained not to wear our political views on our shoulder, and unfortunately this has become a hot button topic in the political arena right now. My view has NOTHING to do with being anti-LGBT. I think it was inappropriate for those badges to get distributed to teachers and staff with any expectation they wear one. If the kids want to, that's fine. I am absolutely sure that if an old fossil of a teacher like me chose not to wear one, he or she would not be fired, and anyone who knew the teacher would judge them based on their actions, not whether she wore a badge. Now if that teacher is a bigot, that's another kettle of fish. Everyone is welcome in my classroom; kids know it and my coworkers know it. I have zero tolerance for bullying or hateful speech, and they know that too. I would hope that Dhara's son wouldn't consider me a bigot for not wearing a badge, but he would know better if he was my student.

My apologies for not giving a rat's ass about the last 75 pages. I briefly read p. 24, 74 and 75. Nuclear families are the best goal in my opinion. The biological family living in love and harmony. Parents have been given the option of easy divorce, giving the state vast powers in many families. So, if death and divorce enter the family, many options become available to provide a family.

In the past you were shipped off to an aunt or grandparent. That was falling back on the nuclear family. Might be too simplistic, but a family sounds better than an orphanage or going from foster family to foster family. I think most family court judges and court staff take their jobs very seriously. I am not going to second guess them.
