So we were supposed to be a christian nation huh....?

Well the fact that you don't equate socialism with economic collapse explains that you are a government supremacist who will grant bureaucrats absolute powers over your life.

Typically you people are parasitic , lack self motivation and suffer of severe low self-esteem.

.

The simple fact that you would equate the two is ridiculous. Some things simply should not be run for profit. Before email USPS was a very efficient way of communicating. Its a federally mandated agency that breaks even. Thats socialism.

Explain to me again how having the government run something like your electricity is so horrible. It would seem to me the fact that a government agency only has to break even would offer cheaper energy.

Firstly, the Constitution authorizes , but does not mandate, that fedgov operate a post office.

The ONLY system which encourages efficiency and decreases cost is Capitalism [free enterprise]

In a Capitalistic system you are free to operate a non-profit enterprise if you so choose; however you can not compel me to subsidize it nor to buy from you;

Competititon allows me to buy the best for the least;

In a capitalistic system my rights are UNALIENABLE not subject to bureaucratic discretion or majority rule.

.

Your such an idiot.

1. The constitution is not a list of everything good. Just because its not in the constitution doesnt mean its not potentially a good idea. Now please take this out of context....

2. The statement that the only system that decreases cost and encourages efficiency is capitalism is totally an opinion.

3. Socialism is not communism. Socialism exists within a free market economy. It is the governments participation in that free market economy. If it can be done in fundamental ways without interfering theres no problem. How can you argue against government providing basic utilities like water in order to lower costs by just breaking even, not posting profit? How is that not sound economics?

4. How does socialism restrict your rights? I guess if you mean the right to buy more expensive water from a private company than sure....

5. A captalistic (not a word) system has nothing to do with rights. Buy a dictionary.

Thanks.

The purpose of the constitution was to delineate the powers of the federal government. Little did the framers know that fedgov would become a continuing criminal enterprise.

based on fact.

Socialism is communism.

I want to do whatever the fuck I want to do without some scumbag in Washington DC, Moscow or Havana telling me otherwise.

Capitalism
: a social system in which the government is exclusively devoted to the protection of individual rights, including property rights, and therefore in which there exists absolutely no government intervention in the economy.

Second only to:

"You do do head poopie pants!"

and "Yore stoopid" comes in third.

Adams:

"The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity. Nowhere in the Gospels do we find a precept for Creeds, Confessions, Oaths, Doctrines, and whole cartloads of other foolish trumpery that we find in Christianity."

"This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it."

"God is an essence that we know nothing of. Until this awful blasphemy is got rid of, there will never be any liberal science in the world."

"Have you considered that system of holy lies and pious frauds that has raged and triumphed for 1,500 years?"

". . . Thirteen governments [of the original states] thus founded on the natural authority of the people alone, without a pretence of miracle or mystery, and which are destined to spread over the northern part of that whole quarter of the globe, are a great point gained in favor of the rights of mankind."

"The question before the human race is, whether the God of Nature shall govern the world by his own laws, or whether priests and kings shall rule it by fictitious miracles?"

Notice the last part particularly. "God of Nature". Go up to the last part and reference the washington quote about deism. They were more deist than christian.
You misunderstand Adams. He was a Christian. He is saying that religion is the problem not Christianity. He is right, the creeds, and all are things of the church not from the Bible. That does not mean the founding fathers were not Christians.

Where has anyone claimed the Founders were not Christian?
Adams said that religion influencing government is the problem.
And they were talking about THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION.
Because like you say, the Founders WERE CHRISTIAN.

In one sense, because we are a Christian Nation, we separate Church and State. ;) Render unto Caesar, the things that are Caesar's and unto God, the things that are God's. Jesus and Locke, hit a home run with that one. Matters of Conscience are a Personal Matter between Each of us and Our Maker, not the Business of any Society or Government, without Cause (Harm, Theft, Civil wrongs) and Due Process. We Establish Justice or War with it? You choose. It still does not change what Justice is. There are matters between Each of us, that Society cannot make right by warring with Right and changing the labels. ;) Get over it already. What is not Caesar's he should learn to keep his paws off of, until that time, even Nature itself will war against unjust Society.
