So the rightwing is willing to take pay & benefits cuts?

Those people haven't seen nothing yet. Where you better look is over at Asia sweat shops that they will be competing with. Look at their lifestyle, their mud huts, ox drawn cart. Because corporations have shown us, they can go there, or if they stay, you will make the same wage the Asian does and like it.

I just see us headed in the wrong direction in America. Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev made a prediction years back, "We will bury you from within." I do hope he is wrong.

good gawd, talk about FEAR MONGERING.

Well give us the good side of having your wages & benefits cut down to that of an Asian.

Asian people come here so that they will have unalienable rights acknowledged and protected and can aspire to whatever their work ethic, abilities, and imagination can achieve for them. And most are not union employees. And because of their work ethic, a poor Asian is usually pretty hard to find.

You're comparing basketballs to marbles here. If cities or states become so hopelessly bankrupt that they cannot keep the doors of public services open, THEN your beloved union employees might get busted down to Asian labor because there will be no money to pay them at all. They can sue but you can't get blood or even unlimited turnip juice out of a turnip forever. There is a finite supply and that is all there is.

We're not asking union employees to take a vow of poverty. They are being asked to see the handwriting on the wall, understand that they cannot continue to rake in salaries and benefits when there is no money to pay them, and thus they need to be willing to negotiate salaries and benefits that their employer is able to pay without breaking the bank.

It would be wonderful if we all could just demand what we think we need or deserve or want. But the rest of us have to live and work with economic realities our whole lives.

Union workers should be no different.

Why an Asian? Why not a BLACK? Native American, Irish, Italian? French,German, Slovak, Indoinesian...Philipino, Spanaird, Mexican, should I continue?

SEE where this is leading? *SHAME UPON YOU* and your house.

Do YOU see tent cities along the River/ Food Lines bread lines as far as the eye can see...are you painting a picture as the 1930's?

I don't see it *YET* but if Obama and the Statists continue...that's WHAT we will see...I think you need to get a grip or your fantasy will be reality in short order...and the UNIONS and their untward demands that force bankruptcy of the many States will come to fruition IF they don't start to buckle down, SHED their entitlement mentality on a SOUR ECONOMY and on the BACKS of the private sector they DEMAND FROM...

NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE is entitled to a living on the backs of others...

Got it ACE?

Unions make up 7.5% of all private sector jobs. Please explain their incredibly HUGE impact. Or not.

Got it ACE?

They sure have an IMPACT in elections via MONEY that is stolen for belonging whether they chose to or NOT...Given to Politicians they won't or DON'T Vote for against their will...

GOT IT ACE?

Yea, because 7.5% of the workers in private industry have so much more access to money than Republicans who get their money from just a few companies.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce - SourceWatch

The Chamber claims on its website that its mission is to "advance human progress through an economic, political and social system based on individual freedom, incentive, initiative, opportunity, and responsibility."[3] It describes itself as "the world's largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations of every size, sector, and region."[4]
Despite these claims, the New York Times reported in October 2010 that half of the Chamber's $140 million in contributions in 2008 came from just 45 big-money donors, many of whom enlisted the Chamber's help to fight political and public opinion battles on their behalf (such as opposing financial or healthcare reforms, or other regulations). [2] The Chamber is "dominated by oil companies, pharmaceutical giants, automakers and other polluting industries," according to James Carter, executive director of the Green Chamber of Commerce.[5]

You guys know that the Republican Party get's the bulk of it's money from big corporations who want them to end corporate tax and remove clean air and clean water and safety regulations. You know that right? It's not a secret.

Stop with the "But Democrats blah blah blah". Think about what your own party is doing. Is this what you really want? A "dirty" America?

Remember Darrell Issa sent out an email on the very day he was sworn in asking companies what is the first thing they want Republicans to do?

That email didn't go to the Republican base, but to companies.

Partisan HORSESHIT.

*DISCOUNTED* And Thoroughly IGNORED.

The Cons are hot to get rid of Unions, the last bastion between worker protection from greedy, unpatriotic, uncaring asshole Corporations. And anyone with a brain knows once the Unions are gone to maintain the living & nminimum wage standard in America, Corporations seeking profits are going to cut their wages and benefits in the most uncaring axing weilding way imaginable. So this a given, you will take what they give you, or watch a Mexican take your job.

So I just want to hear the cons explain how they want their own wages & benefits cut for profits, when it is a corporate hiring market with millions waiting to take their jobs. Go on and explain to us how you think you won't suffer major wage & benefit cuts, or get the boot out your employers door.

Don't even tell me free market BS, it doesn't work in a global community.

Look no farther than the PEOPLE themselves that sacrifice now.

Been there, done that, past ordinances to prevent it. Asia has not yet had their golden age of the workers movement as we did from the 1890's to the 1930's. Back when the gilded age ran out of control and needed to be reined in. You're looking into our past over there, not our future.

But now, you seem to think that conservatives have somehow been immune from the economic downturn. There are many conservatives in those same unions who look to get burned just as well as the liberals there. Many who look forward to it so they can potentially get a better deal by ending union dues they are forced to pay. Stop the protection to incompetents who should have been fired years before.

The conservatives in the private sector have been suffering all these economic downturns for years now while the government grows on. They see these workers complain that they aren't getting big enough increases in their pay, while they are being fired or having their pay cut.

Well the piper's just presented the bill. Pay half the healthcare costs (which is still only HALF that of the private sector for similar services) or suffer layoffs. Yet these whiny fucks have the nerve to say? Cuts? No! Raise taxes! We need more from our hard working neighbors!

The ingratitude and entitlement combined with elitist arrogance is unbearable.

We're all taking this shit. Time the lefties had some doled out on them instead of pretending their exhalted above all this.

Does the right work in Public Sector Union jobs who make more than their Private Sector counterparts? Are they the ones crying because the Governor of Wis wants them to pay a whole 5% into their pensions, and 13% of their Health care.

I mean wow what a lot to ask. While most workers pay half or More of their Health and half into their Pensions. Public Sector Union Employees working for the WIS dept of Education Currently get their Health care at 0 Cost to them, and their pensions as well.

Anyone supporting them must be part of the 20% of Americans in Unions.

lol

Liberals constantly talk about the Democrats as the party of the working man. The Truth is they are the Party of the Union man, Fuck everyone else.

You are off topic.

I don't understand the question...

Government is broke, or in fact, it's in massive debt... Cuts need to be made as poorly spedning the money Government had mixed with spending to much has caused the problems we have today, not giant companies.

So what's the question? Who are these "rightwingers?" I asume this thread is coming off the Teachers on strike stuff going on... So we can point at the teachers union and say "they cost to much and Government has no money to pay them."

So please, point to some "righties" that are getting Goverment money so people have something to respond to in this otherwise moronic thread.

Over your head huh? Did you read the OP? Probably not. Did I mention candle sticks, spare tires, Opium running in the Golden Triangle? This thread isn't very complicated unless your a moron who cannot read, retain and comprehend English. By the way, I never mentioned Teachers or black boards or SUVs, etc. "UNIONS"

Even when they can see the hypocrite-in-chief jetting around the globe in useless trips and endless campaigns while preaching about conserving energy you can depend on the numbskull left to try to play the hypocrisy card even when it doesn't make sense.

Are you not taking your med's?

Union's day in the Sun has come, and gone. They are now a weight around the hourly workers neck, and the sooner, that weight is removed, the sooner the United States worker will become more competitive in the WORLD MARKET PLACE.
Correct me if I am wrong about your con double-speak, "The Union keeping the Living wage alive is preventing me from paying my employees less money, so their wages match those of a Niki shoe maker in Asia."

I own a small LLC, and benefits is a decision, that I leave to my employee's, it's NOT, I repeat, NOT my obligation to provide anything except a job.

I'm the LAST one to get paid, I always make sure my employee's get their paycheck, and ALWAYS try to project weeks in advance what work we having coming in, so they can make plans, and a budget. Course, most don't even know how to spell BUDGET, but thats for a different thread.

So, stop the bitching, and get to work, be thankful you have a job.:eusa_hand:

Is anyone bitching? Are you drunk? Have you read the thread at all? This isn't about bitching, work, or job, OK? Go read the OP and do try to get on topic if that is possible.

Who's trying to make wage & benefits cuts?

Funny how you left wing morons keep trying to say that the Wisconsin governor is trying to cut wages and take away benefits...... HE'S TRYING TO BREAK THE UNIONS!......No he's not, dumbass. That's not what is happening at all. Learn of what you speak before opening your less than educated, ill informed mouth.
